Been a rough week! But we can all use this many times in our lives!

Devil coming at me all kinds of ways. . . .

Lots good going on, just being attacked to try to discourage me.

Deal is (Satan is full of wrath because his time is short -- just heard this on TBN) many of us are being hit hard and we simply need the strength to STAND.

It says that when the devil comes in like a flood the Lord raises up a standard against him.

Let's agree together for us to STAND and for that STANDARD to be raised up.

We just want to keep on GOING strong (the church will trimumph over the gates of hell!!!!!!! ) and keep making the devil mad.

When all hell breaks loose, we must be doing something right.

So the intent of the thread is that we don't want give up on the brink of a miracle (the very thing the devil wants us to do). We want to have that strength that only JESUS can give us to keep on keeping on. Prayers and words of encouragement (in particular scripture!!!) appreciated.



The devil is a LIAR!!!

Dear Lord, You know the kind of week it's been and the times I wanted to give up. (Seven days without prayer makes one weak!). Thank You that I have been trying to connect with You throughout my days. That has helped so much. Wanted to throw faith over today (sort of) because of migraine. Lord, You know the attacks, big and small. You know how much I need a new strength to stand. You know how much I need to see You victorious and triumphant in my situations (YOU are the STANDARD!!!) I pray that You will be raised up in my life! I pray that I may keep that armor on, so the devil sees YOU, not me, coming at ALL times and in ALL situations. I ask that I will walk out knowing I am blessed in my going out and in my coming in. I am the head and not the tail. I am the lender and not the borrower. I am blessed with spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I thank You that You took care of the devil about 2000 years ago. The devil is defeated, God is exalted and Jesus Christ is Lord!!! I thank You for having my times in Your hands, in Your book of days, they are all numbered. The hairs of my head are numbered. You do not let one sparrow fall without Your notice. How much more do You watch over Your child? The Word says You know every need I have before I ask. . .it says if I ask anything in accordance with Your will, I have the confidence You will give me the answer to the petitions I ask for. I know that Your Word is full of awesome promises I can claim. Those who seek You will LACK NO GOOD THING!!! I praise You for these promises and so many more. I thank You for strength to stand, as I put on all of the armor and having done all, I stand. I pray that we may all pray without ceasing, another part of the armor (one often overlooked). I pray for faithfullness to You, no matter WHAT goes on around us, no matter who around us is growing weary in well doing or we can see their love growing cold. Lord, may we continue on with strength and stamia that comes only from YOU!!! No more self help or pop pscychology or self will or me first! We want and NEED YOU first!!! Help us, Lord, to look to You, The Author And Finisher Of Our Faith! We ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen!

It is getting hard to get prayers posted, as I keep knocking them off my screen before posting them up. Then, I just don't want to try to retype all that. . . .I hit that one by accident, and it posted, by a MIRALCE of God. So I came into this new post to add a few things I know that God is about to do for me that are making the devil mad. There are two main ones:

Get my story out there (a radical one, when you consider how much the culture keeps creeping into the church, and this is a lot about holiness)

Get my driver's license

So by discouraging me through this and that, he is trying to get me thinking it's all bad and nothing good can happen. Yet, they prophecied 2007 as the year of completion, and I have completed rough draft of story. Now, need to complete final draft. Also, trying to complete this deal of trying to get my driver's license since high school driver's ed, about 30 years now. WOW! How could it be so perfectly lined up with the year of completion? I pray, which would be a HUGE MIRALCE, I know, I can get my license by year's end.

Well, 2008 is the year of New Beginnings, so getting my license then would definitely be a new beginning.

Any rate, I do not want to quit pursuing these things God has given me to do. So I will just keep on praying for strength to go on doggedly.

Lord this has been a hard and difficult week for many this week.

Lord you know our trials & struggles, Lord we need your grace, we need your mercy, we need your favor, and we need your wisdom to deal with a rushed and sometimes hard world.

Lord open our eyes and let us see, there are more of us than there are of them...

Hello and God bless you for this thread and words of encouragement I have had a very bad week . Greater is He who is in me than he that is in the world. We all need encouragement and we all need one a other and Thank God for Our Father who is always with us no matter what. I love that personal relationship with Our Father and just sit at His Feet and talking to Him. Amen and loving Him.

Whenever things get crazy or I don't understand, that truth always edges back through: It's all about HIM, HIM, HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!

I thank You, Lord, for bringing me through this most difficult week. I thank You that I know it's all going to be okay. I thank You, most of all, for using the events that are bothering me to bring me back to the center focus of my life: YOU!!!

yes lord yes as we go through the vally we shall not fear for u are with us thank you father for the trials and beatdowns we take cause you are with us when we go through it is for are benifit to draw closer to you to dipendmore on you and not on this world or people around us thak you father for your word for your son JESUS for the holy spirit what can we do without u but be lost father i pray that as we go through and the unsaver see they will see the power of your grace thank you father in jesus name amen

Its been a rough week Father and i find myself growing wary most of the time lately but i thank You that Jehovah, my life is in Your hands and there is nothing impossible to You. I praise You, i worship you oh my Redeemer.

Thanks for all the prayers and responses. Things were better last week then the week I posted that. But still struggling with headahce problems (2 since then, though able to take Excedrin before they exploded.) Missed one driving session this week, and SO eager to get going. . . .Wishing I had more money for so many things I want to to do. Feeling sad over Randy and Paula White and the general state of the church. But, all in all, feeling so much more hopeful about so many things. My prayers are with all of you/us who are feeling pressed from every side. . . .

Dear Lord, give us the strength and courage to go on even in the toughest times. Help each and every one of my brothers and sisters who has many things coming at them to be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might. Encourage us with Your love. I pray we will stop in the middle of it all to focus on You, to let You minister Your love to us. Lord, be the glory and the lifter of our heads! We pray mighty, awesom breakthroughs in all things. Send each of us what we need in every situation, whether finances, hope, restoration, healing, encouragement, employment or whatever else it might be. You know all the things we have need of before we ask them, so we thank You every need is met and supplied. We praise You for seeing us through our difficult times. We thank You and give You the glory and honor in all things. Continue to flood us with Your hope and encouragement whenever things seem hard to bear. Dear Lord, this has been a difficult YEAR! I thank YOU and praise YOU that YOU are aways there, walking by my side and sometimes holding me up when I can't walk, helping me take one step at a time. You even found me shoes! When it feels like I can't go on, like one more stress is going to push me over the edge, I run crying to you like a little girl saying, help help help. I know the Devil is not going to win. I have not come this far to be crushed like a bug and end up in the eternal lake of fire, far from YOUR graces and blessings. I cannot exist without YOUR love.

LORD, I know I can turn to you in any situation. You know what is best for me, you know what is good for me. The more I learn to turn my stubborn selfish will over to YOU the more good that comes back in return. You are bigger than any worldly problem. You have all the solutions prepared for every situation. You know what we need before we ask! THANK YOU. I would be literally lost in the desert without you.

Protect me from the Devil, Lord. And the Devil's companion, depression. The more I turn to you in faith the more the devil attacks me. I am having bad dreams. Along with illness after illness. Everytime I get a workable monthly budget some disastrous surprise appears - truck breaks down again, room mate leaves without paying last month's rent or utiilties - Julian goes to jail for shooting some one (oh Lord, as a mother, that is the hardest one to bear) our ride to Durango for Christmas falls apart - The old me would have cried and pointed blame on innocent people or plotted ways to get money that would not be ethical nor honest. LORD instead I come to you as a child, asking his loving Father for help. And I KNOW whatever happens after that will be YOUR WILL and not my selfish desires. Bad Weeks, Bad Months, Even Bad YEARS are just little spots on the timeline of eternity. You suffered so much more for us!!! You redeemed us of our sins, your WORD tells us to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. I pray to have the opportunity to be taken up to Heaven where I will have plenty of time to praise you for saving my life. Literally and spiritually. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME AND FORGIVING MY SINS. Asking for prayers in agreement that the Devil is NOT going to WIN. We stand strong by your Grace, by your Blessings and most of all by your never-ending Love. When I am far from home, don't understand the language here well, have no close friends to sit down and confide in, don't understand the pastor in church, when I am homesick and wishing for clean water, a house with a kitchen, a heat source and safer electrical outlets, I remember again that you were born in a stable into a loving family. And its the loving family that counts. So THANKS AGAIN JESUS for pouring your Blessings on us.

Father God, I pray that You will answer TashaGirl's prayer. I pray that she will be close to You and will make it into heaven. Do not let her give up, faint, be weary in well doing. Give her hope, courage and strength to keep on going in relationship with You. I pray that she remembers that You are always with her, even to the end of the age. Show her that she IS an overcomer in Jesus Christ. I pray she will rise up in the knowledge that the devil was defeated about 2000 years ago. Lord, give her all she needs to go on. I pray she is in such deep, loving relationship with You that lifts her high above all these problems and troubles. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.

Physical pain making me mad and wanting to cry. . .hard to perform common tasks at work due to weakness in wrists. Just need to keep pushing through, no matter how tough things get. Not sure how much longer I can do job if wrists keep deteriorating. . . .Need healing! Need strength to go on! This is the main struggle I am going through right now.

Learning to drive is the bright spot. So far it's going good, and I am going through this phase with hope for what being able to drive can open up to me.

Lord, ease all of the pain, stresses and strains that all of us are going through. Give us the strength, hope and courage to go through these difficulties. I pray that we are focusing on You and our love for You. I pray our eyes are on You, always, no matter what we are going through. Touch each person on this board who is going through what seems like too much to bare. We have weeks, even months, even a year or years that seem to try us to no end. I pray for those who are in the throws of such times, are learning to draw ever nearer and closer to You in the midst of the troubles. Let us know and remember that You and You alone are all that matters. No matter how tough it gets, it is focusing on You that matters. Help Your children grow stronger in You and in relationship with You during these times. I ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

Agreeing in prayer for our sister Mary. Oh Lord, i can relate to so much of what she is going through especially with the illnesses, pain, depression, loneliness, financial problems. some days it feels too much to bare. Thank You for carrying us when we can no longer take one more step. Thank You for giving us hope and a future. In the blessed name of Jesus, amen.

I pray, Lord, that You will help all of us in all we are going through.

Please heal my friend, Myra, of cancer and let her live! Give she and her husband peace and trust.

Please help me to get car insurance, because I need it before the driver's test.

I pray for continued success in driving, for learning and retaining the right info. I pray I remember it when I take the driver's test to pass easily.

I ask, Lord, for You to explain what I am supposed to do with the finished story that needs rewritten and marketed. . .the part which I most fear. Give me guidance toward the right people to publish this for me....or to get it out there in some other form.

I pray that You would give me the strength I need to work, as long as You have me working this current job. I pray I can make the transition to something easier on my wrists and other parts of my body.

I pray for my brother to be healed and delivered of manic depression and off all medications.

I ask that I can be supplied with a car to drive, my very own car, so I don't have to borrow anyone elses....a purple car, as I keep asking for.

I pray for such a better income. Show me how I will make more money than now. Lead me to better employment or source of income.

I pray that all these good things looming, will be something I do not run from...as in fear of success.

I thank You so much good is happening. Bring me successfully through all of it. Let me meet each new challange with an overcoming attitude. Let me continue to say "I can do it!" when these new opportunities present themselves.

I pray for an opportunity to move to California to be around the corner.

I ask and pray for You to help those who are facing much difficulty, whether the difficulty of much bad happening or adjusting to many good things coming their way.

Give us all the strength and help we need to survive everything we are going through at this time.

I ask and pray these things, in Jesus Name, amen.

Lord, only You know what we are going through and why. Suffering develops perserverence which leads to character. and character leads to hope. Romans 5: 3,4 (I think). But in colossians it says that we have the hope of Glory--Christ living in us! thank You Jesus for taking up residence in our hearts, and You, Holy spirit for drawing us near to the Father through Jesus. Thanks for the hope of a better life here on earth, but ultimately a better life with You in heaven eternally!!!!!!!!!

I need this guy who thinks he wants to marry me to QUIT thinking that, as I know he is not God's choice for me. Don't ask HOW I know, for it's between God and I. He simply is all wrong for me, but he tells others he is going to marry me. Need this to END A.S.A.P. This is something I'm going through that is REALLY bothering me.

Lord, pour out PEACE upon us all!!! I pray for all of us to just rest and be still in You.

Friend, Myra died. Worried what her husband (Ed) will do.

Fretting about driving test -- need to take writtne first, then driving.

I just felt overwhelmed by everything today.

Back feeling sore and stiff. Need relief. And headachy, too, from neck up.

Just so much going on or about to happen, and I feel so eager to get it going and so frustrated at all the slow downs.

I really, really, really just crave God's peace to flood me right now!!!

Life verse and encouragement for today: I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me!!! (Philippians 4:13)

The pain on my body is really bugging me.

Tomorrow, this computer may not fire up, because I am only on battery power and the chord is not connecting, so I won't be able to recharge (I think this could be of God, though, so I will take a rest from here).

Anyway, I felt like giving up and quitting...but don't know how or where to go!

I see so many good things happening, yet it's hard to see past the physical pain and stay focused on God and His promises.

Dear Lord, help us all to come through with flying colors! I really don't know what else to pray! You know how I've felt the last two days and how I've struggled with faith. Send me something to encourage me. Thank You for smoke alarms, and that my life was saved from a fire due to one. I am so grateful I woke up in time to put the candle caused fire out!!! I know that You are in control, even when I don't understand. Thank You for that other special blessing, and I pray I You will send more like that. I pray for everyone here to be greatly encouraged and strengthened, no matter WHAT they are going through. Send all the breakthroughs we seek You for in the Breakthrough Thursday thread. I need You now in what is a very difficult time, like NEVER before. Allow this pain to subside enough, so I can concentrate on seeking You, or give me strength to seek You regardless of the pain! I pray for people to be stengthened and encouraged in awesome ways at this time.

I know You have called me aside to spend time with You, but it has been hard with the pain. Get me through to connecting with You!

Lord, we also know that Brian is going through it financially and with not being able to work for his body wearing out. So, I pray, Lord, that You will provide healing and all that Brian needs to be able to keep money coming in. Supply every need he has, so he has food, clothes, shelter and internet. I pray for Your hand of provision to be obviously seen so he no longer has to struggle like this. You are able. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen. JeriRose

Father, give me courage for the drive test, as this is something I'm going through. I have practiced long and hard and am such a good driver now. But I do get nervous in spite of aquired skills. I pray that I will remember all correct things, especially cheking my mirrors and blind spots regularly. And let me not do anything life endangering or that will lead to automatic failure. I pray for favor and success. I pray for peace and calmness. Let my attitude remain good, let my nerves remain steady. I pray nothing rattles me, especially the DMV person as happened last time. Let everything go smoothly. Bring all I have learned readily to mind when I am driving with the examiner. Let all go well so I get my license this Saturday, March 29th.
