my name is cody. im 20 years old and i was released from jail a few months ago for drug charges. When i went to jail i thought my life was over, but it turned out it was only the beginning. I went in facing 5 years, and ended up only serving 30 days, and i believe that was because God saw it fit to show me his mercy when i asked him for forgiveness, strength, and direction. So as it turned out, jail saved my life. I think God everyday for that kind of blessing. now that im out i have a child on the way, a good woman, and a better understanding of what life is about. Now with child on the way im trying to make a career in the military, and it seems my past sins may keep that from happening. i pray every day that its not so and i believe that i can overcome such obstacles with Gods blessing. So i ask now that anyone who sees this message please pray for me and my soon to be family. I know as hopeless as it seems that God has all authority over such things.hes the only reason i dont have to walk around in shame. hes the only reason for anything. Please pray for me. God bless.

I'm so happy for you that you've taken the first step. Believe in God, believe in yourself. Adversity will overcome you or you will overcome it. It sounds like you've taken the first step in becoming an "overcomer." My prayer for you is that the Holy Spirit will so inspire and guide your way. It's not a majic wand. Life is hard work but the rewards are just so great, eternal life!!!
Can you overcome? Can you allow "Our Father who art in Heaven" through the power of the Holy Spirit by the saving grace & mercy of Jesus Christ to guide and direct your path? Humility is the path to strength & power.
If you can overcome, you can show anybody else in your situation and circumstance HOW you did it. Please, please, oh please pick up this opportunity and run with it. You have an extraordinary opportunity to exhibit the greatness and power of God through your exhibition of grace, mercy and humility.
You have responsibilities now also. You have a girlfriend and a child on the way. Please do right by them.

The next step is to marry "the good woman in your life" if you aren't already married. God's Word is clear that sex is only appropriate in marriage. If you are living with her now, you need to live apart until you can get married. None of this is to be judgemental. This is just instruction to someone who is new at wanting to please God in all they do. The Bible is God's Word to you, God's instructions to you, where you can learn how to please Him. Keeping sex inside marriage is one way of doing this.
Dear Lord, help our brother to do all that is appropriate in showing his willingness to live for You. Direct him plainly in all areas of life, and let him learn how to make You Lord by obeying in all things You instruct. I pray You will show him plainly whether he is to join the military or to go some other direction. Whatever You want for him, make it plain. Help him to accept all that is Your will and to obey You in all that You ask. I pray if You want him in the military, there will be no obstacles. Let him be approved to join. I ask Your will to be done in all areas of his life and for him to be accepting of Your will in all things. In Jesus Name, amen.

Praise God,thankYou Father Yahweh...It's so good to meet you ,Cody.My name is Michael,and i'm a grandfather.It was just 1968 that I left my 14 year old bride for indo china,{Viet Nam}.We were so in love and I was so patriotic,GunHo!Now i look back and think that I might have done things a little differently.I might ask myself,would Jesus take an AK47 or a L.A.W.Rocket,or a M-79 Grenade launcher and point it at the Roman soldiers.???There are so many things that I might ask myself if i was 17 again with a 14 year old wife.But I wasn't a christian then.I was a Warrior!!I might of gotten a job as a carpenter.And asked our loving Father to send His beloved Son to live in my heart.
