Just a quick question about fasting when you have diabetes. I guess I am wondering how a person would fast in that situation.....

I have diabetes and am somewhat afraid of trying to fast.

Here is my word of advise.
It is critical for your health to eat on a regular schedule.
Fasting is a sacrifice of food for the purpose of prayer
and concentrating on God.
With you, I would not sacrifice all food.
My sister dearly loves sweets
She will give them up for a week or so
and so goes on a sugar fast.
I would give up a food you love
But not all food
sacrifice that and spend time in prayer

I am with Christy on this. If you really want to fast foods, check with your doctor to see what kinds of foods would be okay to eat as diabetic.

Also,as an FYI, I have done media or TV fast, where I give up watching TV for a week and spend the time I would watch TV in prayer.

So, you could do a fast like that.

hjbigrapids-

You know, fasting isn't limited to only one thing or one way. You can pray to God to lead you how to fast or what to fast with, to do so for Him. the gals are right, but God declares He has a way out for every situation we may face. thus, if want to fast, pray for God to choose what or how you can fast that would satisfy Him in your particular case.

God Bless!!
