I Need My Book Published

I HAVE WRITTEN A SHOrT TRUE STORY BOOK,AND NEED TO GET IT PUBLISHED.I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT IT COSTS SO MUCH TO HAVE IT TYPESET,EDITED ETC.I NEED SOMEONE TO TYPE IT IN ORDER FOR ME.I ALSO HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL STAGE CHRISTIAN PLAYS AND MANY, MANY SONGS AND POEMS.PLEASE,IF SOMEONE HAS ANY IDEAS,PLEASE LET ME KNOW.THANKS

I want to get my writing published, too. The trickey thing is knowing who to allow to publish it. I typed mine up (prais the Lord for a lap top!) myself. As yet, have not made a hard copy. It's all in file folders with no back up files. 
Praying it is saved and reserved until God's day of telling me how to proceed....
Lord, send bjc the wisdom and the people to help in this. I pray You show them where to go and open doors. I pray they can find a inexpensive way to get this typed and printed into a manuscript that can be mailed to a publishing company. Give them wisdom and connections on the other writing as well. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.
I suggest that you get the Christian Writer's Market book. This tells you guidelines for typing up the manuscript. It also says which companies buy what type of stories. And it will tell you those who accept manuscripts on a disk, requiring no hard copy, which would save you cost in getting it ready, as the ink has gotten so expensive. Be very careful in reading what type of rights they are buying -- as in all rights, means you have no more control over it. There are one time rights, meaning they can publish it once, and you can do what you want with it after that, as long as you inform another company it has been published once before (this is not for books but for short stories for Sunday school papers or Christian magazines.) There are other rights, and it's important to know what kind of contract you are signing. I thought I saw where they told who bought songs, too, but was it in that book or somewhere else? I almost thoguht I saw something on line about Christian writer's markets. There are companies who buy verses for cards, too, so this is all worth checking into, as you can make some income from your writing, which I am sure would be a welcome thing. I do pray that your number one concern is that You are sharing Jesus with people and that His anointing is on it. But I see nothing wrong with making some money as well.

I BY NO MEANS WANT MY BOOK PUBLISHED FOR MONEY.I JUST WANT IT PRINTED(ABOUT 50-60) COPIES,TO MAYBE SELL,FOR A SMALL AMOUNT AT OUR BOOKSTORE AT CHURCH AND I WOULD GET MORE COPIES AS NEEDED BY REQUEST ONLY.I WANT THE MESSAGE OUT FOR OTHERS TO KNOW HOW GOD HAS SAVED AND RESTORED MY MARRIAGE AND IS STILL GOING STRONG FOR MANY YEARS. ALSO,I JUST NEED THE PRINTING DONE PROFESSIONALLY FOR THE BOOK AND FOR MY PLAYS.I AM BEST FRIENDS TO A PLAYWRIGHT,WHO IS DOING PRODUCTIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD.SHE NOT ONLY IS A PLAYWRIGHT,BUT AN ACTOR,TOO AND SHE CASTS ALL OF HER PRODUCTIONS.I HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH HER AS I HAVE WORKED IN PROMOTIONS AND PUBLICITY FOR HER IN THE PAST,AND SOMETIMES NOW WHEN TIME ALLOWS.I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME FOR THE TYPESETTING,EDITING,ETC AND PUTTING IT INTO THE SUGGESTED FORM.I AM WILLING TO HIRE SOMEONE TO DO THIS,BUT I HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL AND BE LED BY THE SPIRIT,TO SOMEONE THAT I CAN TRUST AND WILL HELP ME GET IT DONE.

Understand, ours are not seeking for money either, but for Glorifying God. What we tried to share was insights for finding publishers that are operating along Godly guidelines, not ones out to soak you more than needed. And I'm not looking for world wide distribution either, but no more than 100 copies for the cheaper cost to me, unless is worth producing more.
And my writings have sat with this publisher for over 2 years now, but they want to publsh them, as believe they are worthy of Glorifying God for souls saved and helping the Body of Christ grow.
God will work all things out for those seeking this in God's proper time for it.

I was not implying that making money was a motive. I only meant that making money at writing, if it's a talent we have, can be a God given way of making income. I want to make income this way, so I don't have to work a "regular job" but can spend more time doing The Lord's work, of which writing is part of that work. A writer's schedule would be of their (and God's) making and that would free up extra time in between to do what else God wants of them. So, even though you just want to impact some people with your book, it would not be wrong or unGodly to make some income. Of course, as ministers (which we do through writing), our number one goal is to minister something that God has given us to others. I would rather there be TRUTH coming through than anything else (as in making money). As was said of one singer (now gone on to be with The Lord): "He would rather TELL the truth, than SELL the truth." Still, ministers are worthy of their hire, so I don't believe it wrong to take money as a result of what we write. I wholey agree with your idea of minsitering to others through your testimony, and I am not saying you should be doing it for money. That was not my intent at all.
The markets can be a place to guide you toward the right publisher, as in the one God wants, is all. That's why I suggested them.
I, too, struggle with who should help me get my manuscript out there. I am not wanting to sell it for money. If I make some money, as a result of it being published, then, praise The Lord that I can have some income from something I LOVE to do. But that is not my motive, either. I just know I need to release the message to the body of Christ, so I am carefully guarding the story for now, as I wait for further direction from God.
I pray, Lord, that you will direct bjc to the right people or person to help her get this published. I pray the message of marriage restoration will be a huge hope and encouragement to many. Recently, I have been led to pray that the spirit of divorce will leave the church, so I am sure this book would be a great help in that. I pray for great success on this, as in AS MANY AS POSSIBLE reading this. I ask that You would get it out there in a huge way (much bigger than her current plan) -- not as a blessing to her -- but as the church needs to HEAR this message! I pray that You can lead her to someone to edit it and type it so it's ready to be sent to a publisher. Provide all she needs in funds to get it ready (paying the person who helpd her or whatever) or maybe they will just do it for free. Definitely, and, whatever the case, guide her steps in the right direction to get this out there. I ask and pray, in Jesus Name, amen.
