Prayer to end suffering

This is a prayer for my cat Jack that is 18 and is in very bad health. Please pray that his suffering and pain will end and that he will just pass away peacefully in his sleep. He is in renal failure but still has an appetite and gets up to see me whenever I visit him in his bed so I cannot have him put to sleep as long as he is still fighting. I pray and please pray with me that God will go ahead and take him so I do not have too. I can't bring myself to do it, I just can't!

Father, this is so difficult. Lord, touch this situation as only You can. If it is Your will to heal Jack here on earth, them please do so. However, Father, should You want to take him HOME with You, may You do that. In any case, Lord, I pray that the pain and suffering of Jack is at a minimal. Comfort this family during this difficult time, just as You did for my family when we faced a similar situation. Give them peace and love. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen
