Glass ceiling? Curse?

I have been striving to advance financially, pay for student loans, acquire a "better" job, etc. for some time. I have had the impression that things were very difficult for some odd reason- I am actually fairily well educated. It seems that very few people prosper in the town I live in.
I mentioned this to a doctor that I know. She told me that "some people" came to her office when they opened their office and "told them what they could pay" to their workers.
I have until the first of May to make some form of changes. At that point, my job will essentially expect me to work 2-3 months before I receive a check. Don't ask- I know it's "illegal", but this employer has carte blanche in the city it is located in.
So, my request is a word of knowledge, advice or direction.
Where do I move?
Father, I ask for direction in Jesus Name. Amen.

Although this is not a word from the Lord. I have lived various places in Canada. And some of them are similar to where you live such as Prince Edward Island; where a handful of the rich exhibit their control over wages
for the rest of the people. When I lived in Edmonton, Alberta ,Canada
I found it very poverty stricken for work with lower wages in the feild I was in. As a matter of fact the church I attended there had a similar problem with everyone being broke with no good jobs save for a few.
One place I find with plenty of work and good pay is Calgary Alberta Canada.
Here we have a shortage of workers with excellent pay. The Canadian dollar is par with the USA.
I actually left my position as a mechanic technician ;which I had been for 9 years to persue a Contractors Job in the Construction Industry. The reason being is I had a friend in the same business.
It took me about a year to learn the business and I am on my second year now. Now I have a licence to make money.
If it wasn't for my frined pushing me into another business I would still be broke. My friend has been instrimental into helping me in the past as well ;
and i also have helped him.
Instead my income has been increased by 10 times. Many people move to Calgary, Alberta,Canada.;to find success; maybe you are next?
I believe their are Powers and Principalities over certain areas that afect the properity of the place . It appears greed affects where you are at.
Now I employ 2 to sometimes several people;and I pay them better then
the rest of the companys that do the same work. They deserve a good living too. If i were you I would tell them to shove it and move.Hope this helps.

I read your cry and then the previous response and I have no clue as to what you must be going through. Nor do I know that I have a word from the Lord -- but I believe He will give you one if we ask. He may want you to move or He may want you to stay and tear down those spiritual strongholds through prayer and fasting -- through truth. It sounds to me like something needs to be done -- ask God if you are the vessel He wants to use. For regardless of satan's strongholds -- God's word is God's word and can not be thwarted or made void if you believe. His word says that if we seek Him first and His kingdom He will give us all these other things and that He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. I am a single mom with little to no education -- so I live off these verses. I will pray.
Merciful Father your children come to you tonight asking for your grace and mercy in this situation. I know Lord God that it is your will to bless us and prosper us and that even your word promises that we will prosper in all that we set ourselve to regardless of outside circumstance. Lord Jesus if this child of yours needs to move then please Jesus move them. Show them clearly where and when and how. But Lord Jesus if this is not your will and you have something better for them, please Jesus allign their thinking and heart with your will and plan and then work your work through them. Most Holy God you are the only one who can overcome the evil that is so apparant in this community rather it is your will to use this particular child or not I ask that you would raise up prayer warriors and men and women of Truth who you will use to overcome the wicked not just for the temporal relief from bondage, but for the eternal relief that is only available through Your Son Jesus Christ. Deliver these people from this darkness. I cry out especially for those foolish men and women who think they are in control. Who are so fearful of being less than that they would do all in their power not to be outdone by someone else. Lord God how sad their lives must be. I ask to move that mountain 
that keeps them from Yourself and from the Truth of themselves. From the freedom only found in you. Lord Jesus in your name we pray. Amen

Guide Your daughter by Your Spirit in the way she should go.
Lead her to the job that You have prepared for her.
Prosper her in all that she does. Amen
