Help With Finances

My wife and I have been going trough some tough times. Loss of jobs (found new ones), but our creditors are hounding us and we can't squeeze our budget any more. WE are at our wits end. Please pray for us.

Lord, I pray for peace in the minds and situations of djones834 and his companion. That you will increase the family income that their debts will be paid. Let them not be intimidated by the creditors as they do their best in meeting their obligations. In the name of Jesus.

Lord God, provide all that djones834 and his wife need. You know the things we have need of before we ask them, so we know and believe thes debts are taken care of. Please show them the path to freedom. Cancel these debts. I ask that through all this they will build a closer relationship with You. Let them know that prayer is not about getting our needs met; it is about building a relationship with You. And in the process, you do meet our needs. In Jesus Name, I pray, amen. JeriRose

Don't let them get to you. I know it's hard; they use dirty tactics and abusive language. Get an answering machine and caller ID if you need to and screen the calls.Meanwhile, do you budget- first things first: food, housing, utilities, gas for your car to get to and from work. Then draw a line where your money ends. This is all you have for the month, so if the credit cards don't get paid- boo-hoo. They WILL get over it. Kindly tell them,"You are below the line." Then explain your budget and the line you drew where the money ended. Then tell them if they want to be above the line next month, they had better change their attitude and talk to you more politely. Then hang up.
You do not have to listen to abuse. If the yay-hoo on the other end is shouting or berating you, hang up. Period. Then shut the ringer on your phone off. The person speaking to you is working in a cubical 500 miles away and is in a job with a very high turnover. What can they really do?
Another thing is, once they call you, get their name and employee number and the company they work for; collectors sometimes work for a third-party collections company and their SOLE purpose is to get money out of you. They cannot negotiate anything. Once they call and give you their spiel, tell them,"Thank You, your call has been noted. Do NOT call again." Then hang up. If they harrass you, you can report them to the Federal Trade Commission.

This will pass. Things will get better. Do not despair.

Father God,
Thank You for djones. Lord, please breathe comfort and peace into this family's situation. Lord, I thank You for the new jobs You provided for them. Lord, please shine a light where there is now darkness. Please bring understanding to this situation and please point them in the direction they should go. Lord, Thank You for the shelter and refuge that only You offer through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Please strengthen this family as they go through this storm. Please align them with believers who will walk with them. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' Name I Pray. Amen.

O dear Lord, please do most graciously come through for this couple! Please do most absolutely and most mercifully provide for them greately! Lord, please send protection keep them safe from their creditors until they are able to come up with enough to repay their debts. Have mercy upon them O Lord! Please by no means allow this couple to succomb to these hard times. I plead of You desperately in Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.
