Please pray for New York City.

New York City is known as the capital of the world. It is in many ways the face of the world. You can meet people from every nationality during a short walk. It is famously known as the “city that never sleeps”. Historically, NYC has witnessed many mighty moves of God. . The city has also witnessed the painful losses of September 11th, 2001. The firefighters and volunteers gave their all to save others. The painful memories of those days linger on...
But these days, the city is mostly known for its sinful nightlife. So many young people are addicted to drugs and living without any sense of purpose. Porn industry is flourishing and prostitution is on the rise. The people of God have been crying for years for a revival in New York City. Please join with us for a great visitation of God upon NYC. Please focus on the following points and add more points as you are lead by the Lord.
During this Sunday morning church service (3/9/2008), the Lord wanted me to add this question here. Can you spare 15 minutes of your time to pray for New York City? If you do, you too can be a part of an amazing move of God. Let us pray for 15 minutes everyday starting at 9 PM EST. Please join this thread if you can commit to prayer for 15 minutes. If we pray earnestly, God will send His great visitation upon this great city. If you cannot pray at 9 PM EST, please chose any 15 minutes of the day according to your convenience.
v Pray for the church leaders from all over the city to come together in unity.
v Pray for revival in individual churches.
v Pray for the birthing of several intercessory prayer cells.
v Pray for many all night prayer groups to be formed.
v Pray for all the gospel tracts that are distributed in the city daily.
v Pray for the people who are preaching the gospel on the trains and streets.
v Pray for the porn industry to suffer major losses and to close down in NYC
v Pray for the thousands who are addicted to porn. Jesus sets the captives free.
v Pray for the gay/lesbian community. May them taste the love of Jesus and change their lifestyle.
v Pray for the escorts (glorified prostitutes) and the prostitution industry. May the Lord save people given over to such destructive behaviors.
v Pray for the run away teens that they will find Jesus.
v Pray for the drug addicts/ dealers and gangsters to find Jesus. For the revival to hit the entertainment industry.
v Pray for a revival among the firefighters and the police officers.
v Pray for the families of the September 11th victims. May they know the comfort and salvation that Jesus offers.
v Pray for a common meeting place where 24/7 prayers will go on for the city’s revival.
v Pray for revival to hit the liberal media.
v Pray for the fires of revival to hit the hospitals, patients, doctors, nurses and the paramedical staff.
v Pray for the revival to hit the schools and the city's precious children.
v Pray for the abortion clinics. May the killing of the unborn stop.
v Pray for the thousand who are in the prison and for their salvation.
The list will go on and on. But let us start praying for a mighty revival to sweep across New York City and to bring millions into His kingdom.

I first posted this thread almost a week ago. The Lord is already shaking up the prostitution industry in NYC. Almost everyone is aware of the prostitution scandal that is going on in NYC. Suddenly, the industry is getting public attention. Let is continue to pray. Jesus loves everyone and does not condemn even the worst of the sinners.
After this thread was posted here, at least 2 people prayed for the issues here. Within 2 days, the Spitzer scandal broke out. I do not consider it as a coincidence.
Let us also pray for the Spitzer family. Jesus condones the sin, but not the sinner. What an awesome God we have. He condones prostitution, but loves the individuals caught up in it. He does not want them to be eternally condemned. He shed His precious blood for them too.

I went out last evening to the streets of to give out Gospel literature. Just two of us were able to give out hundreds of them, standing on the street corners. You can see the hunger in the lives of the people. Please join in prayer for a mighty revival in New York. We need intense prayer support in this great cause. There are so many people who are doing this daily. There are people presenting the good news in the subways and many other places. Please pray that the Lord will open the hearts of the unbelievers to know the hope that is in Christ Jesus and His glorious gospel.

Lord of Hosts,
Please free the city of New York and other cities of like Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Phuket, Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans, San Francisco, Mombasa etc.... from the prison of prostitution and pornography.
Flood all cities of the world that are caught up in these vices with Your redeeming Blood.
Pour Your anointing and revival upon them.
Let Your love for the people living in these cities break these and many other bondages that are holding them captive. In the Name of Jesus Christ, amen

Father God, we come to you in the awesome name of Jesus. We ask you to send your supernatural visitation upon all these cities. Send forth your revival, Lord. We need you so badly. We need those seasons of refreshing which comes from your presence. We thank you Lord Jesus, for what you are already doing in NY. Move mightily. Be with every lay preachers and believers who witness in thy name. Give wisdom to the Pastor's and evangelists to organize prayers as you lead them. Break the power of witchcraft by the power of your blood.
