India needs urgent attention!

India is a country which needs urgent attention. It has over 1 billion people and the population continues to explode. Over 80% of the population is made up of peace loving Hindu's. Nearly 12% of the population is made up of Muslims. The country has witnessed many fights in the name of religion. Christians are a small minority comprised of 2-3% of the total population. Majority of the Hindu’s worship idols. They also pray to the trees, snakes, cows and almost everything. The ignorance regarding the things of God is really heart breaking.
It is also one of the largest democracies in the world. The country was ruled by secular parties for the most part. It is currently ruled by a coalition government led by Congress party, under the leadership of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, the Italian born widow of the slain former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Mr. Manmohan Singh, the oxford educated economist is the country's current prime minister. During the last few decades, India has seen a resurgence of Hindu fundamentalism. Attacking evangelistic efforts has been one of their main agenda's. The country will go for another election within a year and lots of prayers are needed to prevent the fundamentalists from taking over.
Many people remember the brutal killing of the Australian missionary Graham Staines. He was a wonderful servant of God, who worked among the lepers and the downtrodden,in the stae of Orissa. He was burnt alive by the Hindu fundamentalists along with his two boys. Attacking pastors, priests, missionaries and evangelists is almost a daily occurrence. Evangelist Reinhardt Bonke will be conducting crusades in the Southern city of Cochin during the month of April 2008. A record turn out is expected. I am asking the prayer warriors to join in for a mighty harvest of souls.
Father God, we come to you in Jesus name to plead for India. Lord, you have said," Ask of me and I will give the nations for your inheritance and the ends of the earth for your possession" (Psalms 2:8). So we are here to ask for India. We claim it for Jesus. We speak against every demonic spirit of idol worship in Jesus name. We ask you to open the eyes of the people to see the God of Glory. We ask you for a mighty harvest of the souls. We come against every fundamentalist political/religious organization that is working against your people. We break every religious spirit in Jesus name. Holy Spirit, we ask you to hover over India. Thank you for your work of convicting the world of sin, rightesousness and judgment. Lord, convict thousands of people of their sin. Let them know Jesus, the only true Savior. Let India know the power of the blood of Jesus. We ask for a revival to break forth all across the land. We pray especially for our persecuted brothers and sisters. Strengthen them, Lord. Have mercy upon India. Unify the church in this great cause. We come against every spirit of division in Jesus name. We thank you for what you are going to do. We pray for the future general elections and ask you that the fundamentalist parties will not rule India anymore. We declare victory in Jesus name. We declare the fall of every false religion in Jesus name. We decree a great and mighty deliverance, in Jesus name. Bless every prayer warrior who will pray for this issue.
In Jesus name we pray and we thank you for answering our prayer.

may all dark forses holding this country
blind to Christ be bond and defeated

Dear Lord I am praying in agreement. I lift this nation up to Thee and pray that the shackles of false Gods and beliefs may be broken and the way paved for the true gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached and brought to this land without fear of reprisal. I pray for this nation to be shaken to its core and Thy hand to be set to recover this lost idol worshiping nation, I pray in Jesus holy name amen.
