A prayer needed for friends

Hello...I am new here. I do read the bible regularly. I visit a message board that has really gone through a bad spell of luck in the past 2 days. I cannot seem to find the right prayer to post that could somehow comfort them. 1 person has died from illness, one lost a family member to suicide, one has a parent in critical condition, one has lost a job, and ones dog was injured....all this in 2 days...I can't seem to be able to find a prayer or verse that somehow could comfort these hurting souls. Does anyone maybe know of a verse or prayer for these poor folks. I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you. Reilly
