study medicine next year.

Hello
I'm currently studing first year of Financial Mathematics in South Africa. I learned during the year that I'm in the wrong field. What I have always wanted to do is medicine. It seems too late to apply to study medicine here in SA for next year. I'm hoping to get to study in the US. My mom does not show incouragement for me to study medicine. I don't want to waste her money with another year of Financial Mathematics. If I study in US I'll need money for the plane to go there and for tuition and also for accomodation, which I don't have and no idea where I'll get it from. Please pray for me that God will see me through this, and that if it is His will for me to do medicine that He will let it be done. Pray also that I'll get money for all that I need.

I will pray for you. I too am waiting for the finances to complete medical school. As a foreign student, you should check into foreign student grants. I am sure that the Lord will bless you if you seek them. As for myself, I am praying that God will open up another $12,000/year for me at Cornell. By the time I realized that I wanted to go to medical school, I had already finished my degree in criminal justice. It was my minor in forensics that pushed me towards medicine. I figure that the harder it is for me to complete medical school, the harder I'll work to get over the obstacles. My prayers are with you. God Bless!
