Hello,

My name is Debbie and I am new here. I found this site in result of looking for something else. I am trying to understand the lord's word and by doing so I have a few books that help and give a lot of insight.

It seems that all of us are facing some kind of crisis or bump in our lives. I would like to share with everyone something that I read and it may help us all to understand what is going on.

By making a commitment to Jesus, some may think that life will be smooth from then on out. It is true that walking with Christ will help us avoid many of the problems we used to face, we are still going to experience what the Bible calls "trials"

Trials may come in the form of a crisis, a sudden illness, the loss of a loved one, or some drastic change in your life. You may go through a difficult time when you don't feel God's presence, when church may not be as exciting as it once was for you, or your prayers seem to go no higher than the ceiling. This may cause you to wonder if you have angered God or if he has left you. But God does not allow us to experience trials because he wants to see us suffer. Rather, he allows these difficulties into our lives to help us grow spiritually-- to learn by faith, not by feelings. There are some passages to read dealing with this.

Trials sharpen our faith: 1 Peter 1:3-7

Trials Help us Comfort Others 2 Corinthians 1:3-7

Trials Are Survivable 2 Corinthians 4: 7-18

Trials Test Our Foundation. Luke 6: 47-49

Jesus Is with Us in Life's Storms Mark 4: 35-41

God gives Hope to Our Troubled Hearts John 14:1-7

Dear God,

Please give each one of us the knowledge we need to understand what is going on in each of our lives. We know you are here with us and will only give each of us what you know we can handle. We may not think so at the time. Thank you Father, for watching over all of us at this time of need. Help us to keep our Faith strong .

Amen.

I have read some of the prayer requests and felt that we all need this little boost of knowledge.

I hope this helps everyone.

Your Sister in Christ,

Debbie

Hi Debbie,
Thanks for the encouragement. I think we all need encouragement sometimes. I've found the best thing to do is focus my eyes on Jesus and not the problems. Also placing the need's of others before your own I have found God honors that and when you keep your attention there, on others needs, then God moves on behalf of our own needs and takes over our problems and works them out.

Thanks again,
God Bless Debbie,
Trinity
