im so lost. i want to put christ before the materialistic needs i have, but the urge to look to the world is so strong. all the material gains i make fall apart , and i find myself in the same emnpty place that i started,. it's not doubt that is paralyzing me, i believe the word (i also feel it is greatly enhanced by reading it in its original context. the bible is indeed living, but taking passages not intended for a modern tranlation is the sourse of much confusion

I will be praying for you, and I encourage you to find verses that speak to "surrender" and "dying to self" I have a great example of dying to self that I will post later on as it is a poem of sorts. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, begin with obedience and let God take it from there. Give yourself room to make a mistake - not that mistakes are okay and that if you slip you gave yourself space - but rather the grace that you NEED Jesus. Through all we do, the choice we always have in every decision to trust Jesus, or not to trust Jesus. Some of us make that choice all the time, needing to remind myself, some others live that way and it's so great to watch. It's an encouragement to find others that desire what you do, and also, God made us to be able to ask for help. Perhaps an accountability partner?
Lord Jesus, we lift Anastasia to you today, we ask that you hold her tight and let her see that You are God, Lord of all creation. Place more of the desire in her heart to talk with you, and tell you all the things we know you know already. Let Your glory shine through this child.

When you recieved Jesus into your heart you became seperate from this world. Dont go back to the world in which you came from, stay in the presence of the almighty god through the blood of the lamb. John 15:19
If ye were of the world the world would love his own,....but i have chosen you out of the world.
James 4:4 "the friendship of the world is the enmity with god, whoseoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of god"
Luke 9:23-25 "if any man will come after me let him deny himself, and take up his cross DAILY, and follow me. for whosesoever will save his life shall loose it: but whosoever will lose hilife for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantage, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?
The world is a stranger to the bride of Christ.
I am lifting up requests to God, may god pour out his blessings upon you,
