Is it evil

Is it fine?

Is it necessary to find out what the holy spirit is telling us?

Or is is deception from the devil?

Please tell me your veiws on the tarot!

In these day we don't kill witches but the word of God is very clear what He thinks of Them.

EXO 22:18 ¶ Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.

I think it's got no meaning whatsoever. In some impressionable people could be bad also. At best it's a waste of time. But people waste their time all the time...

I've had terot card readings for me before. It has meanings. It is dangerous. There is a spirit world which we dont' see. Like angels, fallen angels, familiar spirits, etc. It's new age and of the devil. Long ago I've had psychics tell me about myself and about what I was presently going thru. It is a counterfeit of the true power of God, Word of knowledge. It's found in 1 Corinthians 12. But stay away from the new age, it invites demonic activity into your life, and we don't need that.

Having spent over 10 years in the occult, in various aspects, I can tell you that they are evil and a deception from the devil.

I can tell you first hand that tarot cards are evil! I done such when I was younger, & I tore them up after a bad reading came about for someone, 2 days after I read the cards, a death. Yes... tarot cards can tell the future in some instances, BUT they are from the WRONG SOURCE!! For my dabbling with them, I ended up with a familiar spirit following me for almost 6 months, who would mutter in my ear whenever I tried to study the Bible, would try to c rawl under my skin, cause things to fly across the room,lay next to me in bed... You may laugh, and think I am psycho... it truly happened. It was when a Christian friend was told about these things, and anointed me with oil, with 4 others praying for me with laying on of hands, that it left, never to come back! PRAISE GOD!
The thing actually opened up the front door of the house when it was commanded to leave in the Name of Jesus. There are 5 others who witnessed this, it was NOT my imagination! I also have a picture of this spirit, and when I get my scanner going again, I will send it to anyone who wants to see,...may just post it, to show Christians what can happen when they dabble in the occult!!
Dear God, I pray that God opens Moira's and whoever else's eyes who think these things are not dangerous to us to the dangers of tarot cards, & such other things as this. Lay it on their hearts to search Your Word concerning such practices as not being in alliance with Your Holy Word.Please bring ppl into their path who can testify to this. IN Christ Jesus' Name I pray~ Amen and amen

dmjames06, what are you doing on this site? We are a bought by the blood of Jesus Christ, Holy Ghost filled, live wire on fire, kick the devil in the pants and run him out of town band of prayer warriors. Tarot is not welcome here! But YOU are! Actually, it's probably just where God wants you to show you the truth about this. Where does the Bible say that Jesus spent 18 years studying this in a mystery school? The Bible is our final authority on EVERYTHING. If the Word does not say it, don't believe it!!!

8But the cowardly, unbelieving,[5] abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)

Jesus is not going to study something that will send people to the lake of fire. Jesus came to save people from their sin so they could spend eternity with him in heaven!

DarkSies, you don't NEED tarot cards when you have the Holy Spirit!!! Tarot cards are a counterfiet!

Points from first scripture reference:The Holy Spirit is IN you. The world can not receive Him; only Chrisitans can. Anyone can consult tarot cards.

Points from second sripture reference: He will teach you ALL things. Can tarot cards do that? They are only rough suggestions of what might happen. The Holy Spirit would bring to rememberence all things that Jesus said to his disciples. Tarot cards make NO references to Jesus, period. The peace Jesus would leave seemed linked to the Holy Spirit. How do you get peace if the tarot card reading is negative?

Points from third scripture reference: The Holy Spirit would testify of Jesus. Do tarot cards testify of Jesus?

Points from fourth scripture reference:
1) It was a posotive thing Jesus was going away, because then He could send the Holy Spirit to us. Obviously, the Holy Spirit is Someone special. Jesus could have just handed the disciples tarot cards, but instead he told them: Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high. (Luke 24:49) (just before he went back to heaven).

2) "HE WILL CONVICT THE WORLD OF SIN, AND OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND OF JUDGEMENT." Tarot cards in no way convict you of anything; that is a special function of the Holy Spirit.

3) "When He the Spirit of truth has come He will lead you into all truth....." Tarot card readings are often incorrect.

4) "Whatever He hears He will speak; and he will tell you the things to come." That is the closest reference to anything like tarot cards. BUT the Holy Spirit is speaking what He hears. Who/what is the tarot card reader listening to? The Holy Spirit does not speak on His own authroity. Obviously, He is listening to Jesus. Does the tarot card reader tell you Jesus is the source of what she is telling you?

5) HE WILL GLORIFY ME, FOR HE WILL TAKE OF WHAT IS MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU. That is the key point: the Holy Spirit's purpose is to glorify Jesus. When someone reads the tarot cards to you, what mention is there of Jesus and His greatness? If the Holy Sprit was working through tarot cards, Jesus would be lifted up.

6) "He will take of what is mine and DECLARE it to you." When you declare something you aren't just hinting at it! You are saying it outright and boldly. So if there is some obscure referenece to Jesus in tarot cards (my understanding is they have nothing to do with Him), you should know these cards are not of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit would be telling you of Jesus first and foremost.

Do you know the real problem with all such methods of devining (and the reason God said they were abominations)? They take your eyes off God!!! (I mean the true God of the Bible, Jesus Christ Our Lord.) Anything that takes our eyes off God and puts them on something else, causes you to break the first commandment:

You shall have no other gods before me!

Please do not consult tarot cards. Move into sweet communion wtih Jesus,through the Holy Spirit, then you will really find direction for your future.

Ok here goes: are you ready? The Devil has power to read your future they way he wants it read God has a better plan we go to heaven and be with him I like Gods plan better! Satan has witches mystics, sooth sayers, Yes they will tell you the future but who made it up? Satan Yep yep...Stay away from stuff like this it is all a big lie and it hurts really bad not only your flesh but your soul will cry because of the lies...

Ask yourself if it diddent come from God who did it come from Push it away!!

Oh Frederik! Satan already knows that he is lost! His goal for the future in eternity is to take as many people as possible with him. This is why our job and goal is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and get as many people as possible saved and out of his reach! The Great Commission is not a suggestion!

Matt. 28:18-20

18 (Jesus speaking)..."All authority (exousia) has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I AM with you always, even unto the end of the age."
Satan has power (dunamis) here but he has no authority (Exousia) to use that power.

We should look to the Lord in all things .

Tarot are used by witches and we are to have nothing to do with that. Look what happened to Saul when he consulted a medium.

If we want to know our future we should pray to the Lord to reveal it to us. The Holy Spirit dwells within to guide us. We should pray and listen for Jesus loves us and has not left us as orphans.
