What if you just cannot do what God wants ?

God tells us to even love our enemies and to bless them.
I cannot even love my brother who is the most selfish person I know.
What shall I do when I just cannot love him ? Does this mean I am not able to be like Jesus and this means that I cannot go to heaven cause I cannot love my brother ?
I mean I suffer from this, I wish I could be as souvereign as Jesus and simply love my enemies but Jesus is God, he is souvereign, he knows that actually nobody can harm him and even if somebody insults him he doesn't have to care cause he's God. God doesn't even need love to live he is happy just the way he is cause he's perfect but I'm not perfect and I cannot be cool and souvereign when the people around me are hostile. They only way I could be souvereign would be if I knew that God is always there for me but he isn't. When somebody treats me bad and I'm sad and frustrated then I can't simply go to God and he comforts me. Nothing happens.

Lord, I pray for Frederik. Comfort him, Lord.

I pray for his hostile brother, Lord. Silence him, please, Lord, and send him away.

Thank you, Lord, for Frederik. Reassure him of your love and concern, Lord. Surround Frederik with people to speak truth and wisdom into his life.

Frederik, it must be awful to be under this pressure. But you don't have to be like Jesus to go to heaven. Once you accept Jesus as your Savior He is holding on to you and nothing can take you away from Him. Certainly not being able to love a cruel brother.

Frederik, I bless you with wisdom and prosperity.

Thanks Rachel but I don't want God to send my brother away, I mean he's my real brother. I just wish he'd make him the person he intended him to be. Around my brother there is a thick crust of selfishness, hate, anger and rebellion. I wish God would remove them but we won't do anything against your own will and this means that as long as my brother doesn't want to be changed nothing will happen and my brother doesn't want it.

Whoa! Frederik, sorry about that. I thought you meant he was like your 'brother', like your brother-in-Christ. I just wanted him relocated and out of your face.

I don't think your brother has to be willing before change can come because the Bible says that what we bind on earth is bound in heaven and what we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. It is how we help set the captives free.

Since I have already blown it once, is this a prayer that we could agree on?

"Lord, I bind Frederik's brother to the Mind of Christ and the Will of God for his life.
I loose off of Frederik's brother fear, doubt, unbelief, anger, bitterness, rebellion and tyranny.
Lord, we proclaim peace and prosperity over Frederik's family.
In Jesus' Name, Amen."

So, what do you think, Frederik? Should we go for it?

Sure, but do you really think this will change anything ?
I mean just because you or me say a prayer my brother won't be turned into a saint by God. I mean if it was that easy then even Bin Laden could be changed by us praying for him. I don't think that it's that easy.

With men nothing is easy, but with God all things are possible. Having faith is also the place to begin, and I know that is a hard thing to do at times but it is faith that brings about God's will. Start by asking God to put more Christian people in your brothers life and believe it will be done. Ask God to take the influences of Satan from your brothers life and believe it will be done. With the distractions of Satan gone and more positive influences in his life, changes will start. Ask that God send the Holy Spirit to convict him of his sins and lost condition and to guide him to salvation. We can only come to salvation if the Holy Spirit draws us to God. Do all these things believing God will answer and you will start to see things happen.

Lord Jesus, grant Frederik faith to offer prayers favorable to You for his brother. Lord place the Holy Spirit upon Frederik to show him how to move in this situation and bring the Holy Spirit to his brother to conivct him of his sins and lostness from You and to guide him to salvation in You. Lord bless this whole family with Your presence and draw them to You that together they may become a mighty force to witness for Your kingdom and bring many to You. Father let Your glory show through in the things You will do in this family. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Fredrick!

Whoever told you prayer was EASY!!! ?

Prayer is one of the hardest and most accountable actions in the life of any Christian!

REAL, HONEST, REPENTED,Faith-filled, From my heart to God's throne PRAYER is NEVER EASY! It can be simple, it can be short, it can be quickly said under the breath, but it is never easy!

And YES, even Bin Laden and Hussein can be turned around if we pray! God doesn't even want them to go to hell! Paul was just like them and look at what God did for HIM!?! I want to meet the person who prayed Paul into Salvation!!! WOW!!!

I sure do think it will change things! I have seen it happen so many times.

Shall we try it and see?
