About Halloween

My family in Christ... this day is not the innocent day for kiddies and parties as some say...even some Christians say there is nothing evil with halloween. FOLKS...WAKE UP!!!!! Today is one of pagan's top *unholy days*!!! Satanists,pagans, wiccans, just to name a few will be holding their blaspemous ceremonies and rituals tonight in celebration of this day.If it's a party on Halloween night, it doesn't matter under what name it is...fall festival, harvest party. or what you call it, how you dress, or what you do; to non-Christians you're still celebrating a pagan holiday. Appearances do matter.Why should we mirror a celebration that we shouldn't be a part of? Satan mirrors as well,
2 Corinthians 11:14 And, it's no wonder, because Satan himself can make himself look like an angel of light."

As Christians, we shouldn't feel left out of things of the world such as this; we are not supposed to be of this world. Teaching our children to discern when not to participate in worldly activities that are opposite to their Christian raising is what we should be doing as Christians, not helping them choose costumes,or pass out candy, or take them trick-or-treating! They should be learning to be glad that they don't have to participate or otherwise feel obliged to do all the world does. Turning our backs on evil shouldn't make us feel left out.After all, we are part of the family of God, we should be inviting those not in the family, to join it...not to indulge in the same things that they do!! Prayerfully check this and other sites out about why Halloween is not Christian, and should not be celebrated by Christians... you don 't have to just take my word for it. There are other holidays that are pagan in origin as well, but I will not address that here, just Halloween since it is being observed today.

I am holding a prayer vigil tonight. I am praqying aginst the forces of evil. Pinkfrosting, can you please help us understand how this is a day to be praying Satan wins no victories, not to be partying and such??? I will be lightin gone candle in my window to say I am a candle in the darkness and that one can put a thousand to flight. I am taking up my battle station. If more will join me, I know this will be a prayer meeting, even though we are not in a building together.

I just read a very true article that someone had posted(i think that it was childofgod?) This is the night for wiccans, and witches and satanists and warlocks do thier chants and SACRAFICES. Come on people, people are harmed!

JeriRose12, I started praying last night * midnight, and will continue through until this day is gone from all of America's time zones! Also fasting, though it is something I feel led to do, in addition to prayers. .(not boasting, just sharing this, if I am wrong to say I am fasting for this, then I ask God's forgiveness.) So sister in Christ, I join you in your prayers...Dear God, let the forces of evil be diminished tonight in the name of Jesus, let those evil minions be ineffective tonight! Loose forth thy holy angels God, to protect Your ppl who are celebrating this in ignorance. I pray that they are led to the truth, In the Name of Jesus I pray! amen & amen

I am in total agreement. It's amazing how much grief I've gotten for not taking my kids trick or treating. I don't understand how they can't see it.

I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, so we didn't celebrate ANY holiday. I am thankful for that now because it forces me to question what everyone else just accepts is okay.

Thanks for your post. I was beginning to think I was being ridiculous.
