Should we pray for revival in this Church?
Should we pray for their salvation?
Should we pray for repentance?
New Hampshire's Robinson becomes pioneer gay bishopBy Cathy Lynn Grossman, USA TODAY
DURHAM, N.H. An openly gay man can speak for God, the Episcopal Church USA proclaimed Sunday as the Rev. V. Gene Robinson was installed as a bishop of New Hampshire.
The ceremony brought 3,000 supporters to their feet for two minutes of whistling applause at the University of New Hampshire's ice hockey rink turned church-for-a-day.
Minutes after Robinson was consecrated, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams — spiritual leader of the worldwide Anglican Communion — said the divisions caused by Robinson's elevation "are a matter of deep regret." And a thoughtful protest from conservatives, already moving toward a break with the Episcopal Church, marked the consecration ceremony.
Dissenters say the consecration contradicts the Bible, splinters the U.S. branch of Anglicanism and jeopardizes the worldwide Anglican Communion.
The growing split was evident in Williams' remarks.
In a statement from London, he said: "The divisions that are arising are a matter of deep regret; they will be all too visible in the fact that it will not be possible for Gene Robinson's ministry as a bishop to be accepted in every province in the communion.
"It is clear that those who have consecrated Gene Robinson have acted in good faith. ... But the effects of this upon the ministry and witness of the overwhelming majority of Anglicans particularly in the nonwestern world have to be confronted with honesty."
Robinson, 56, accepted the charge to be an apostle of God, while dozens of approving bishops surrounded him. His male partner of 14 years, his ex-wife and two daughters were at his side.
But the consecration began with an acknowledgement that a minority of U.S. believers and more than half the world leaders of the 77 million-member Anglican Communion object.
The ceremony included an opportunity for objectors to speak. Three protesters spoke for 10 minutes, including a Pennsylvania man who launched into a graphic description of gay sex acts.
Two "protest pens" were set up at the arena. One was occupied by about 300 gay-rights supporters, the other by 11 anti-gay activists from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka. The leadership of the conservative American Anglican Council (AAC) gathered 500 Episcopalians and activists of other faiths at an alternative service.
AAC leader Kendall Harmon, Diocese of South Carolina theologian, said he was ashamed to be an Episcopal priest Sunday because Robinson and supporters "are turning their back on God."
Last month, AAC members announced the establishment of their own network. Member churches won't recognize the authority of bishops who approved of Robinson's election.
But, with control of billions of dollars in property and pensions hanging in the balance, the AAC has not seceded from the Episcopal Church USA.
"There are faithful, wonderful Christian people for whom this is a moment of great pain and confusion and anger," said Robinson, addressing the dissent. "They must know if they must leave, they will always be welcomed back."

I have always believed that God condemns homosexuality, but he always still loves the sinner. I could go through several scriptures that openly call homosexuality a sin, and since it is a sin, it is not of God. Therefore, a church founded on Sin is not part of the Church at all. We should all pray for their salvation and repetance, that they will come to know the truth surrounding God and Jesus that condemns homosexuality. This is a terrible blow to Christianity, we must not support it; rather we should pray that God acts upon the scenario to bring Glory to himself that all shall kneel before him pure in spirit and mind. I am steadfast on this case. We should not pray that he prospers as a gay bishop, rather, we should pray that he finds the truth and prospers in the spirit as a True son of God through Jesus Christ. Jesus warned of false prophets and others who would attempt to split the church, he called them of Satan. I leave the rest for others to consider.

Our Heavenly Father, Jesus, am not asking you to bless this man as a gay bishop, but father convict him of his sin and make him change father. Lord let the conviction weigh hard on him...
In Jesus name..Amen

He had years to repent, why should he start now ?
I think it's a lil late for him to start repenting, he thinks that God wants him to do that. I wonder, has he ever read in the book called bible ?
Does he know what the AT says about homosexuality ? Maybe we should collect money to buy this man a bible.

I agree with Jerry's prayer, because I know NOTHING is impossible with God. I will add that I pray God will give him dreams and visions of heaven or hell EVERY NIGHT until he repents and is saved, in Jesus name! I pray he receives NO REST until then! In fact, I pray God will do WHATEVER IS NECESSARY in his life to bring him to repentance and salvation!
But the Episcopal Church has been dead for awhile now, this is just the stench of the corpse coming forth.
I beleive God has remnants everywhere in every denomination, full of power and glory, strong in the LORD, and they are being raised up now to shine the light to all mankind! The church of Jesus will prevail because the battle is ALREADY WON!

Father, in the Name of Jesus, let us not judge the man as You have already judged his demon. We pray he learns to let go of evil before he enters eternity. And we also pray that he becomes filled with Your Spirit soon, so he can have the power to cast out this demon which is an abomination to You.
We pray that the vessels that go to listen to him teach turn away from him and go to You, instead. We know that there is a special judgement from You for the one who goes and wasn't sent. And the same judgement for those who went to listen to the one who wasn't sent by You.
Though You may be preparing him to reach a people who have been hurt so much by society, please let him learn all things and wait upon You to send him, that he will be enpowered by Your Spirit, and not the spirit that has so easily bound so many children of this nation. Amen.
Lord, how marvelous are Your ways! Are they so much beyond our understanding? Please give us wisdom that we not hurt the ones so dear to Your heart.
Let there not ever be a church for child molesters, or rapists, or heroin addicts, or homosexuals. Rather, let the church be for sinners in need of a Savior. Let the righteous not come in, but let the sinners come in. Only let the ones that are outcast by society come and find solace there in Your arms. In Jesus' Name. Amen, again.
