How to pray more intensive ?

What if you want to pray for something which is really important to you ?
I mean when I pray for something then I saw a few sentences and that's it but this takes maybe 1 minute or even shorter, but what if you want to pray longer ? What do you do the whole time ? Do you simply repeat yourself over and over again ? This wouldn't make much sense, would it ? When Jesus prayed for hours was he talking the whole time or was he just sitting there and focusing his mind on something ?

Faithfulness brings the intensity man.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving (and how about praise and worship too) let your requests be made known unto God.
Try praising God, he inhabits our praise. Worship him with all your heart. Tell him how much you love him. Give him the glory. Don't just come before him with requests only. Honor him, he is more than worthy.

Instead of surfing the internet, spend that time in prayer instead? Ask the Holy Ghost to help you pray. Be patient sometimes things take time. Prayer is about a relationship, not a ritual you have to do to get something from God.
They that WAIT upon the Lord, shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31).

I agree with Cgirl. Praise Him, praise Him, praise Him! Also, the more time you spend in the Word, the more faithful you will become. Jesus gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit when He ascended into heaven. The Holy Spirit is truly - I can't find the right words! The Holy Spirit lives within you. The Holy Spirit is your mentor, your comforter. The Holy Spirit acts as your interpreter. The Holy Spirit puts your hearts desires into translation for God who, in Jesus name, delivers time after time after time. Since we are internet buffs, go onto www.Crosswalk.com and search for all the scriptures relating to the Holy Spirit. Then, get out your own bible and read the chapters for content. Powerful! You will be truly amazed and transformed at the power of it all! God, our Wonderous, Heavenly, Creator is truly awesome!
