Come Boldly to the Throne of Grace

I remember a time in my life as a child when every year the movie "The Wizard of Oz" would play. The part of the movie that scared me the most was not the wicked witch with her threats, but when Dorothy & her companions went to see the Wizard of Oz. A long intimidating passageway led to this mysterious wizards prescence where huge flames, balls of fire, smoke, and an atmosphere of terror dwelt. This scene would always shake me to the core. This wizard was not approachable in any sense of the word. These companions came seeking answers and hope from this "great and powerful Oz" in hopes that he would hear them and grant their requests. In many ways people still approach God in fear not realizing that he is longing for us to approach Him.

In the days of old a priest would come once a year with a lifeless sacrifice to atone for the sins of the people and himself, while an anxious crowd of people waited in patient silence outside. Their only hope was that the priest would be heard and the sacrifice would be accepted. Only then would the peoples sin be atoned for(covered by the shed blood) and the priest would stay alive. The priest would go in with much fear knowing of other priests who went before and died performing this most sacred service. This priest would wear a rope around his ankle with bells attached to it to enable those outside to pull his dead body out should he be found unworthy to perform such service. Any priest who entered into the presense of the Glory of The Almighty unprepared would perish. The days are now past when we had access to the father with much fear.

Now we have access through faith by this grace in which we stand in the finished works of both the cross and the empty tomb, glory to God!!! The temple veil has been torn in two (*in that day the physical veil was torn). This physical barrier held people back from the glory of God that dwelt within this special place in the temple. The Blood of Jesus has washed away our sins never to be remembered any more. With boldness we now can come to our Daddy in heaven with a confidence that we will be heard and our prayers will be answered. We can freely experience the glory of God and have fellowship with Him, and his Son Jesus Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

So let us fix our eyes upon the priest whom God did hear. Jesus our faithful and eternal high priest who went into heaven with his own blood to not only pay our debt and redeem us, he opened up the way to our Daddy in heaven! Rejoice in the Lord! Praise Him for what He has done! You are a child of the Father and he loves you! Take the time to let this truth open up your soul and with confidence come to the One who loves you with boldly!

God bless (empower to prosper) everyone of you this day,
Robert David Cyders...

Gal 4:4-6
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
(KJV)

Rom 8:14-16
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
(KJV)

*The temple veil has been torn in two
[Mk 15:37] And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. [38] Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. [39] So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him, saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said, "Truly this Man was the Son of God!"

I recommend these additional scriptures for further study as they reinenforce the message
that I am trying to convey.

Rom 5:1-2
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
(KJV)

Pr 28:1_The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold (fearless) as a lion.

[1Jn 4:17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

[2Ti 1:7] For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Heb 3:1_Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession,Christ Jesus

[Heb 4:14] Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. [15] For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. [16] Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

[Heb 6:17] Where in God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability (unchangableness) of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: [18] That by two immutable (unchangable) things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation (hopeful expectation), who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: [19] Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil (the Holy of Holies); [20] Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

[Heb 10:19] Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, [20] By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; [21] And having an high priest over the house of God; [22] Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. [23] Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised [24] And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

[Heb 7:22] by so much more Jesus has become a surety (guarantee) of a better covenant. [23] Also there were many priests, because they were prevented by death from continuing. [24] But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. [25] Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. [26] For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; [27] who does not need daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the people's, for this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. [28] For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.

[Heb 9:12] Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. [13] For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, [14] how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

[Heb 5:5] So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.”
[6] As He also says in another place:
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek”;
[7] who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, [8] though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. [9] And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, [10] called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”
