The resurrection of Christ

It took me years of me "faking it till i made it" while attending church and and finally with one very anointed Easter Service I understood that it was the Hebrews as slaves that prepared the bodies of the pharaohs for mumification and that this tradition carried on with them long after they were freed from bondage. It was also understanding that the body of christ in his burial cloths would have dried with the herbs used to a coocoon like shell.

The women use to leave the faces uncovered and then come back and do the rituals as they did with the mummies by pulling out the brains, eyes etc. after three days. The heat in the desert tomb must have been intense. When the women came back to the tomb three days later, they mustve found an uncut coocoon like shell. Now, this would be impossible to get out of!! Like a vacume suctioned bag even. I believe that Christ is risen for these reasons plus, the walk to Emmaus, doubting Thomas and more.

I think there was a Sabbath day issue here that would not have allowed them to work on Him after sundown. The Sabbath day would have gone on until sundown Saturday night. They probably discovered His body missing on Sunday (the first day of the week) morning.

I think this holiday should still be called "Passover", since Jesus was our sacrificial Lamb. It is His blood that causes God's wrath to pass over us.

I think we need to dump the bunny, the eggs and the fancy clothing. "Easter" is a tradition that needs to be reconsidered by the church. We need to let this day be celebrated the way Jesus would have celebrated it when He was growing up at home, since He is our example.

Maybe someone else has some insight they can share?
