God, give wisdom and understanding to the Legislature. Open their eyes Lord, bring conviction upon their hearts and do not let them continue down the path of immorality. Give them a heart to serve You Lord. Bring them back to the old ways and let them have a face to face encounter with You, the Living God. Post Your angels in their offices and guide their decision processes. Thank you Lord. Amen

Yes, Lord, please bring conviction upon our legislators. I know no-one cares much any more for righteousness, but I pray it will prevail. Bring this nation back to You, in an old-fashioned revival, complete with repentence in sackcloth and ashes. Let us not walk so proudly, but be humbled before God, regarding our callus additudes. May we be on our faces in repentence for not caring about the things You care about. Give Your people a voice again, to be an influence. Judgement begins at the house of God and I pray, Lord, that we will be the ones turning from our wicked ways, then as we pray, our land will be healed. Do not let us stand in judgement, when we have refused to be a voice. (I am guilty of the same; help me, Lord, to know how to confront these things in our society, telling the truth in love....). Oh, Lord, purify Your people. So many people claiming to be Christians, live so far from right. We need a return to YOU!!!
1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
3But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; 4neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. 5For this you know,[1] that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not be partakers with them. (Ephesians 5:1-7)
17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of[4] the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20But you have not so learned Christ, 21if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:17-24}
Lord God, make us witnesses for You, that we may be a light in a dark world:
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of the Spirit[2] is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. (Ephesians 5:8-13)
I pray for repentence in this nation, for humility before God. Bring this nation back to You, Lord. Thankyou for hearing our prayers, Father, in Jesus Name, we pray, amen.
