I was reading all of your prayers for Ellen Degeneras and I am a little lost. You see GOD created all of us excactly how he wanted us and GOD loves ALL of his children excatly how they are. People are raised to believe certain things..When you were younger your parents fed these prejidices into you and you have kept them with you this whole time. You think that you are not oppressing the gay and lesbian community?!? You think that being prejiduce against blacks is wrong but being prejiduce against gays is ok. Well I have just one thing to say about that..PREJIDUCE RARELY OUTLIVES EXPIERANCE....Become educated before you judge...look into the eyes of your children because they could very well be gay. I judge no-one. The Bible is the final authority on EVERY MATTER, and I take my cue from the Bible:

26For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality,[3] wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving,[4] unmerciful; 32who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

And such WERE some of you....we should no longer be that, if we are really God's child. ALL are not God's children:

12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:12-13)

Dana, It is true that God loves all of His creation. The Bible says that God so loved THE WORLD that He gave us Jesus Christ as a sacrifice for our sins. It is also true that many people in the church have judged homosexuals as though they were worse sinners than others and to be shunned. I will loudly proclaim that God loves you more than you know. I have told you that God loves you, I must warn you, however, that to spurn His Word and His offer of Life is not to be taken lightly. Please read the first chapter of Romans, in the Bible. There comes a point in the life of an individual where, if unrepentant, they " exchange the glory of the immortal God for..man, and therefore, God gives them over in the sinful desires of their hearts for sexual impurity..to shameful lusts..the women exchanging natural relations for unnatural ones... and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their perversions." The wages of sin are eternal death, but glory to God, He extends eternal life to all who receive Him and make Him their Lord and Savior. We all need a Savior and Deliverer. Only Jesus can help you. I pray that God will open the eyes of your heart and make you a strong women of God.

If that is true then God created murderers to be murderers and loves them as they are and theives as theives and loves them as they are. Just as God does not want people to be murderers or theives He does not want them to be homosexual otherwise He would not have said it is an abomination. Just as the verse Jeri listed says. If you can disreguard that and say homosexuality is OK then you have to say murder is Ok and stealing is Ok.

God says we are to love all people, but if we do not warn them against their sins then we are as guilty of them as they are, so I for one am going to mention what the Bible says about the topic. The rest if between you and God, the Holy Spirit will convict and guide, listen to His guidance please. May God richly bless you and lead you.

I cant even believe that you are comparing murder and thieves to being gay.....being gay does not effect anyone....when you murder and steal you are hurting other people.....I know in my heart that I WAS BORN GAY and THAT I WILL BE GOING TO HEAVEN....

Please read this. Sin is sin. Homosexuality is no different than adultery, incest, sex with animals, and cross-dressing. All are forbidden by the Word of God. When a young man was found in the Christian Church in Corinth to be in incest, he was excommunicated immediately. ICor 5:1

There are many in the homosexual community who say Jesus never said anything about being gay in His teachings. They blindly repeat, "Jesus never once said anything about homosexuality."

Jesus didn't have a problem with people. He had a problem with sin, which was the very reason He came to die. Since homosexuality is listed as one of the moral sins in the Old Testament and the New, we know He was against all sin. Homosexuality is listed as one of many sinful expressions of sexual choice in the Old and New Testament. We then understand that whenever Jesus spoke about sin, He was including the homosexual condition.

Jesus specifically affirmed the moral standards of the Old Testament which forbids any homosexual expression including things such as incest, sex with animals, and cross-dressing. He never once encouraged anyone in breaking a moral law, yet He understood what it meant to be tempted. HEB 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin

LEV 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] abomination.
LEV 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.

ROM 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
ROM 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

1CO 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators (out of control sex), nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (having feminine qualities untypical of a man), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

In Matthew 19:3-9, when Jesus was asked about divorce, He responded with a sweeping condemnation of all relationships except those which met the original intent. This was one man with one woman for life.

The Bible was written to us who CHOOSE to follow Jesus and submit their lives to his Lordship.

As a Christian we lose our "rights" to follow our own desires. Jesus said, "If any man would follow me, let him DENY himself , take up his cross and follow me."

If anyone calls themselves a "gay christian", they are at war with Christ's moral standards. One cannot hold on to a sinful nature and claim to follow Him. We must die to our lust of the flesh. We must die to the lust of the eyes. There is no Biblical model for homosexual relationships regardless of the emotions in the relationship. Love has nothing to do with sexual desires. Just as adultery is sin, so is homosexuality.

If you want to overcome homosexual thoughts, the key is to be "transformed by the renewing of your mind." (Romans 12:1,2) Each of the words "transformed" and "renewing" signify the continuation of a process in the mind, will and emotions. These thoughts must be cast down with praise, worship, prayer and meditation on God's Word. Of course, this is predicated upon a relationship with Christ.

2PE 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
JDE 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

So, you see, my friend,

2PE 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

ROM 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

I do not feel this way because my "parents fed me prejudices". I do not hate homosexuals, I hate the sin of homosexuality. There IS a difference! I am this way because the Word of God is against it, as you can plainly read in all the Scriptures left here already.You say not judge you... God is our judge, as yours also... yet you judge us by thinking we all hate homosexuals.

You said "I can't believe you are comparing murdar and thieves to being gay." I never compared anything to anything. I quoted scripture. It is God, whom you say is OK with your lifestyle, that is against what you are doing. God can not lie!!! His Word is truth!!!

The loving God created us MALE and FEMALE. He wanted man to not be alone, and he did not create another man for him! I don't know why you defend what you believe, and make this a "you/us" arguement, when your only arguement is with God, whom you say okays what you are doing. I believe you make it a "you/us" issue, because you want to avoid looking at the real truth of the Bible. I would not even tell you what you are doing is wrong, if the Bible did not say it is. When I chose to follow Jesus, I chose to believe His Word. Jesus IS the Word:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (1 John 1:1)

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Do you think single, staight people don't want sex, too? Yet, some of us are sayiang "No," until we are married and can do it God's way. Or, if we never get married, we will never have sex. We are denying our flesh, because we love Jesus and want to obey Hiw Word. Don't tell me "It's just how I am. God created me this way." I believe God created me heterosexual, but does that mean I am having sex? No. I am going to conduct myself sexually, according to God's standards. There is only one acceptable condition for sex: one man and one woman, who are married to each other. So, no matter how much I may want sex in some other situation, I can not have it. I may go to my grave celebate. Then, so be it. I obeyed God, and that was all He asked.

I guess it's easier to look me in the eye, and say I am against you, then to look a holy God in the eye and see your sin the way He sees it.

First of all let me address some of the issues you brought up in your first post. As for education and experience, I lived as a part of the gay community for over fifteen years. I understand what you're saying when you say you feel like you were born Lesbian and I won't try to argue with you. I felt the same way.
Instead, I'll give you some homework. Print out Jerry's post, read it over very carefully, and then quiet yourself and ask God to show you the truth.
I know that I can argue with you until I'm blue in the face and it won't do any good. You need to learn for yourself that you need a savior just like the rest of us.
When that realization hits you, let me assure you that there is no savior but Jesus. I tried everything I could to get myself out of homosexuality. The best I ever managed was to make myself miserable. But when I finally realized that God was 100 percent for me and not against me THEN He set me free!!!
I'll be praying a hedge of protection around you and I'll stand in the gap, the gate of the hedge, asking that God hold back the enemy and that God will be good to you.
