Dear Lord, every year the media grows more depraved. We pray in agreement against the forces of darkness that are ruled by the prince of the power of the air(waves);--we know our enemy and that he is trying to kill, steal, and destroy us and our children; but we also know that You have come that we might have Life and have it more abundantly. We call upon you, Dear Lord, to change the hearts of those in authority over what comes into our homes via TV or Radio. We come to you with repentant hearts for making television an idol in the first place, and ask you to deliver us from idolatry. We ask that our children be protected by you and us by monitoring what we see and what time we spend being "entertained". We know that this generation has seen more violence, abhorrent behavior, and unspeakable acts than any other generation before -- and while we fight the battle for the protection of our children's minds and hearts, we also fight the battle for our own souls. Dear Lord, cause us to make the hard decisions we need to make; to take action; to be more than pacifists content to see the evil encroach upon us and our families. Lord, help us to see through your eyes. We pray for BOUNDARIES in our lives. Let us not be like the frog put in a pot of cold water and then when the fire warmed the water slowly, it did not notice until it was boiled to death. This is a reality check -- we are seeing the children of our land picked up by perverts, murdered in the womb, raped and abused - and we need to take a stand against evil; wherever we find it and especially where children, Your precious gifts to us, are concerned. Help us as a nation, as a Christian nation, take a stand for the family values you hold so dear, Dear Lord; help us to pray fervently, get involved in the process, and make a difference for You and our children. We pray these things in Jesus' Name and for Your glory. Amen -- So Be It.
