Just wanted to drop you a little note to say thank you for your faithfulness to the call. I am coming up on the one year anniversary of my being freed from that horrible depression (spirit of heaviness) that was on me. One year of walking "In the Spirit". Since I was saved, 24 years ago, I never understood what that meant. Now that I realize who the Holy Spirit is, what He is sent here to do, and have a daily fellowship with Him, I understand so fully and completely. I pray daily that God would open the eyes of at least one more person, so that the eyes of their heart may be enlightened, so that they may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. That's so much of what it's all about. Not just the lost coming to Jesus for the first time, but those who don't understand fully His precious Holy Spirit, and the power to live life daily victoriously, instead of mumbling and grumbling, and trying to figure out how to get out of the latest mess we seem to have gotten ourselves into. We have the power of the Holy Spirit in us, through the sacrificial death of Jesus, because of the abundance of love that our Father has toward us. No one who knows Jesus should be living life grumbling and miserable. There is joy in knowing Him. There is overflowing joy in all of life's situations. Praise be to God that He loved us so much!
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you Jerry for your faithfulness. Were it not for your faithfulness I may not have understood. If it were not for the persistant intercession of my pastor (Carl Nine) I may not have shown up...I praise God daily for two such faithful servants. Keep up the good work!
I pray God's blessings would rain on both of you, not just a sprinkle, but a monsoon.
