Ok...I am going to get off the subject of Muslims. But here is a question that has been bugging me for a while. I have been reading the old testament...Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers ect. ect...

Ok here is what I don't get. The old testament is the basis for the Jewish culture, religion and what not. Now lets just say hypothitically that the Jewish people were right (even though they aren't) and Jesus Christ is not the Messiah(even though he is). They don't do all the sacrafices at the alter and what not anymore. So there is nothing to cover their sins....right. So what is keeping them in the right, what is keeping them from going to hell? I just don't get it I don't understand how it works?

I think you understand very clearly. Because of their fear of the muslims they do not build the temple. Therefore you know where they are going. Jesus replaced Soloman's temple with something much better, YOU. Now you are the temple of God not Jerusalem.

I am  a great believer in God's Love and that it is for ALL who seek him.

Don't don't see how God can condem anybody born outside the Roman catholic faith or Christianity, because we really have not choice of what religion or faith we are born in.

I sincerely believe that God looks at our hearts and deeds and not at the book we are reading.  I acknowledge the fact that the more you choose to be closer to God the better your relationship is but I can't never believe that God will condem a human being because he is Buddist, for eg!

There are alot of "good" people in the world. But with Jesus, our righteousness is as filthy rags. And good works don't get us into Heaven. The one, and only way is through Jesus. What have the "good" people done with Jesus. We are born sinners, and Jesus came to pay the price for our unworthiness, so we can be called God's friends. HE is the only way. Jesus came as a Lamb the first time, the next time He will come as a Lion. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. We need to be reborn to experience God's kingdom. So, ask Him into your heart and make you clean. He will take up residence in your heart and help you to do the good works he created you to do.

We all want to think God loves everyone. He wouldn't send anyone to hell. But there's something outstanding- sin.
"There is no difference for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace
throught the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." (Romans 3:23)
"For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
"The fool says in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.
The Lord looks down from heaven on the sons of men to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
All have turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one." (Psalm 14:1-3)

All three of the world's major monothesims Christianty, Judaism and Islam have a common threads, among them
seeking God's love, sin and how man can be redeemed for that sin. Somewhere is God's Truth and somewhere is His Word.
So it isn't fair to dismiss 'books', because one of those books is the Word of God, somewhere HE is telling us the way to him!

We aren't borning believing in Wicca, we aren't born believing in Islam, were aren't even born believing Christianity.
Our parents raised us to believe in the religion they believed in. Many people choose to not believe in God at all even when
were raised to be a muslim or jew or catholic. You have a choice, we all have a choice to believe what we want, to accept
who we want, to worship who we want. But there is one way to God and He will judge us whether you think He will or not.
Our hearts and deeds, is that the weight of the good you've done in your life, we get into heaven on a scale, is that what you meant? We need rules for life and God alone can do that, we need Him to tell us how we should follow him. God doesn't condemn anyone we
all have choices on which paths to take.

I think the Jews believe that their messiah is still to come, right ?
Is the NT missing in the jewish bible ? And what do the Jews think is Jesus ? Nothing more than a prophet ?

Jesus was jewish he was a teacher, a rabbi.
Jews do not recognise the new testament. They do not believe that Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies for the mesiah
I love the Jews and so did Jesus.

Yes, but without Jesus they are not saved.
I know a german evangelist who also travels to Israel all lot and he said that a worldwide revival of the Holy Spirit world will only happen when a certain number of Jews in Israel accept Jesus as the messiah. I think he was talking about 140.000 Jews. I have no clue how he comes to this number, but this is what he says.

Leibe Frederik [my German's not that good its meant to say dear]
I think he gets it from Revelations 7 the ones who were sealed; 144,000 from every tribe of Israel. And I think that we belong in the next bit with our white robes and palm branches worshipping the Lamb.

It does not matter what some say.
It only matters what the Word of God says.
It only matters what Jesus said:

Jesus Christ the Son of the Only Living God said:
"I am the way,
I am the truth,\
I am the Life,
No man comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6

It is not Abraham
It is not Moses
It is not Mohammed
It is not budda or any other idol

The only way to heaven right now is Jesus
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4.12).

Paul reminded Gentile converts to recall their pre-Christian days:
"Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world" (Ephesians 2.12).

The opening chapters of Romans show that the desolate situation of man is the condition of mankind. God's eternal power and deity are evident through creation (1.20)
the demands of His moral law planted in the hearts of all (2.15)
God offers eternal life to all who seek Him in well-doing (2.7),
the fact is that people suppress the truth, ignoring the Creator (1.21) flouting the moral law (1.32).

Therefore, "all men, both Jews and Greeks, are under the power of sin, as it is written: 'None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands, no one seeks for God...'" (3.9-1 1).

Sin is the great equalizer, showing all need a God's forgiveness and salvation. Given the spread of sin,
all people stand guilty and condemned before God, incapable of redeeming themselves through righteous acts
ACS 3:19 ¶ Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

But God provided a way of salvation from this condemnation:
Jesus Christ, by his substitutionary death, redeems us from sin and justifies us before God (3.21-26).

It is through him and through him alone, that God's forgiveness is available (5.12-21).

To reject Jesus is therefore to reject God's grace and forgiveness.
To refuse the only way of salvation which God has provided,
is to remain under His condemnation and to give up eternally salvation.

Someday God will judge all men,
"inflicting vengeance upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might" (II Thessalonians 1.8-9).

Although I agree that only Jesus can save us, I whole-heartedly believe good works are of utmost importance. Is it not through the good works of others that you are a Christian? If you were born into a Christian family, then your mother or father taught you of the glory of God. This "good work" of your parents, teaching you about God, is what has led to your being saved from eternal suffering by our Lord Jesus Christ. Good works of Christians, through the infinite power of Christ, are what turn people from the stray path to the path to eternal life. Remember, although good works may not get you yourself into heaven, it sure helps others get there.

Hi.....I belong to a Messianic Congregation (Jew and Gentile worshiping together as one new man)
I am going to try to answer your questions.
First the Lord stated that he was hardening their hearts until the fullness of the gentiles could come in (you and me) and next their Temple was destroyed and they could not offer sacrifices.
We know that Yeshua the Christ was the final sacrifice.
Next satan came into the middle of things and split us into 2 seperate religions. The early church was all Jews and gradually non-jews were coming in. The Romans decided to break it off and their was a literal blood bath. Everyone still following the Feast of the Lord and worshiping on Saturday were killed if they didn't switch. The Romans declared "sun" day, the worship of the sungod as the day to worship. The Jewish Rabbis then brought their group into the Rabbinic Judiesem and brow beat their flocks that it was un-jewish to believe in Yeshua/Jesus. They did such a bang up job that a lot of Jews don't know that Christ is Jewish!!!
Also the Word states when their eye's are open...all will be saved.
Lastly and maybe the most dangerous is how we have fallen down on what we were to do. Christ called us to provoke the Jew to Jealously and we were to take the word to the Jew first. A good book to read is one by Dr. Michael Brown "Our Hands Are Stained With Blood".
hope this helps

Jerry...we have not replaced the Jews and the site for the Temple is still in Jerusalem. Yes we are the temples of the Holy Spirit. The Temple still will be built for the anti-christ to stand in and then Christ to return to.

JesusFreak,

There will come a day again when there WILL be sacrifice and in the temple no less. (plans for the temple are in the making to this current day last I heard) It will be stopped of course as stated in The Book of Revelation (Its there, just dont remember verse) but it has to be there in order to stop it. As for what is being used to atone for sin now.. I have no clue. I would reallly feel ill at ease not knowing where my atonement was. Thank Jesus I know exactly How my sins have been dealt with.

the jews do not believe in jesus as the messaih and also they dont believe in the new testament.Ive also heard things like they think jesus lead a full life etc and married and had children etc,i dont know who made these stories, but they could never contradict the authenticity of the new testament, whatever they believe.
