Praise our Heavenly Father,

When I was raped at the age 18, you carried me home. You comforted me. Because I turned to no one but only You Lord.
I blamed myself, but after the years, you made me realize that through your word I was able to understand. Lord, I have forgiven this man who did this. It has been over 30 years. How cruel he was and hurtful. He pulled my hair and forced me into his car. I begged him please don't hurt me but he socked me in my thighs as though he was socking a punching bag, and as I called upon your name. Lord, you knew my heart, I wanted so bad to save myself for the husband you was going to bless me with, but this man took it away from. My virginity. I found that I would not win this battle, but that you will take care of it.

You know, as I finally have confessed this publicly, maybe now, there won't be any more fear for me. As, when I married my husband, I had fear of him leaving me, and he did. Yet, when I was weak you made me strong. Thats when I knew you had never left me nor forsake me. It was me. Lord, there is so much you have taught me. I want to always priase you and keep praising you because without you, I would be against every man on earth. But, I have found peace and joy in you Lord. If those who come in here thinking that their troubles are the worst. I have news for them it gets worse, but it is how they are going to handle it. Whether to give it to you Lord or try once again to handle it themselves. Which I can say, will not last but be temporary, because through you Lord, I have learned to allow you to intervene in my life. I am still learning, I praise you Lord for the Peace and joy I have in my heart, in my life. To love my son and pray that he keeps your words in his life. I praise you Lord for my son. I pray that you help me to teach my son your ways, and hope that he will always abide and respect you Lord. I have seen the many miracles you have blessed me with. I praise you Lord to the highest mountain. I love you then, and I will always love you both now and forever.

Praise Your name Lord for Your unfailing love and wonderful ways that You have shown this child of God. Thank You Lord for healing the pain of this act and giving her something more special to her by giving her Your gift of life and love as well as her blessing of her son. I thank You sweet Jesus for showing her light when things were dark in her life and for showing her that You love her so much! I praise You Jesus she is able to share her pain for she will truly be able to help another person heal and be a witness to Your word & love & grace. In Jesus name. Amen Dawn

I know what God has for me and I believe it is I who is not ready to stand in front of those who should hear what I have to say because a lesson to learn is taught through what we experience in life. I believe this is what God allows me to see. I strongly believe if I did not have our Lord Savior in my life, I would not be here. Being blessed to see my son grow up into a young man, and praying that God does have control over his life. Thank you Lord, for the words of encouragement from sister Dawn. Please Lord bless Dawn for taking the time out to reach out to me through this prayer eventhough she does not know me.
