That's what Les Perot told us in church Sunday before last: No-one can complete you but God! No-one on earth is capable of it! That's why I seek so hard after God. That's why I tell the singles on here they don't need some guy/girl who's treating them with disrespect and dishonor! I wish they would listen to this poem, listen to GOD!!! God has someone set aside for them, and God is getting them ready. In the meantime we have to fall in love with Jesus and become whole in HIM!!! He is EVERYTHING!!!

What more can I add? I pray every single on the board reads this, and if they are in a wrong relationship, get out of it A.S.A.P.!!!

[COLOR=Red]what a beautiful poem, which is sooooo very true. I am 25 and single and have been since 2000. I have TALKED to a guy back in '00 but that was it. I feel there is a BIG difference in how we label our meeting with guys. Talking and hanging out as friends is so different than dating..although you do the same things to a certain point, the heart is in a different place.

I have labeled guys from my past as boyfriends but when I really thought about it. They really WERE' NT. One guy I only went out with twice...once to the movies and the other time to a flea market and the rest of the times I saw him were the times when he would stop by my house. [i was a teen then and didnt know any better..of course my parents were there when he stopped by] He said we were boyfriend/girlfriend but were we REALLY???? It didn't feel like it. I felt that satan sent him to me. I wan't interested in him at first, but because I didn't have a beau at the time I just agreed to it as if I was possessed. This guy was sick......he would record our conversations and stop by the house to show me what he bought for himself. He told me once that he put on all his best/matching clothes so I could get back with him. PLEEEEEEEZE. He was so immature and obviously didn't have a clue to how to treat a lady. He stopped by the house again after three or four years wanting to talk with me. He looked awful..God forgive me. He told me lies and I couldn't wait to get away from him fast enough. I just pray he stays away from me, finds the Lord and grows up.

He's the only guy who was interested in me the longest. I talked to him on and off, basically he would call from time to time with the same sap story.... after I told him I didn't want to see him anymore he was stalker like. He kept coming to my house showing me things he bought for HIMSELF. He was such a waste of time. As far as I am concerned, whether I said he was my boyfriend back then.....he never was. He didn't act like on nor do the things boyfriends would do. That is not what I was looking for. I soon got away from him.

The other guy I associated with were just a guy that I went out with once. WAS IT AN ACTUAL DATE? NO. If you call a date going to the arcade at 17 or 18 years old. I was so misearable I just about walked out and left him there. What was I thinking??? All that guy wanted to do was kiss me and wanted me to sleep with him but I knew better and got far away from him.

So there you have it ....I met several guys during my teens who I only talked to on the phone.WHAT A WASTE??? and only have been out on 3 dates....which were awful??? one date with arcade boy and 2 dates with stalker boy. I realize today that I was never REALLY interested in none of the guys that I gave my phone numbers to, I just wanted a guy's company/companionship/ friendship. I wanted the right guy at that time and just settled for the first guy who paid attention to me. Not that I'm trying to be vain/brag but I think I am a beautiful, attractive young lady who deserves much better than what I have met. I no longer settle or date anymore. I want to become a doctor and join the peace corps and feel God will lead me to the right guy when i return to school. Ladies never settle. God will lead you. Satan will interfere like he did with me to lead you blindly astray. If I had focused on the Lord more when I was a teenager, I would have never given out my phone number to so many guys. I never slept with any of these guys, the Lord convicted me of this. I am waiting for marriage. However, the devil can lead you into the route if you let him. Thank you God for your mercy. As far as I am concerned I have never had a boyfriend and I am proud because when I meet the right guy he will be considered my first love and my first and only boyfriend./COLOR]

I have been looking for love in all the wrong places. No wonder I haven't found what I was looking for! I was looking to the world and not the Lord.

That poem is a blessing and speaks volumes! We, as singles, are in the best times of our lives to really seek after and serve God.

Last year, I went to a singles retreat and the speaker taught about applying the love of Christ to our dating relationships. One night, we had a marriage ceremony, where 115 singles (men and women) were wed to Christ. We were presented with spiritual gifts, then went to a reception complete with a toast to our new Bridegroom, a wedding cake and dancing. It was the most incredible event I ever attended! I really felt like a newly wed after that, and I had so much fun telling all of my friends about my wedding! They all wanted to know who the guy was! I used it also to share Jesus with some people, so it was a blessing!
