Ronald Reagan a tribute to a Great President
The Day I met President Ronald Reagan.
President Ronald Reagan was one of the nicest and kindest men I have ever met. My father-in-law was running for the senate in Oregon and President Reagan came to Eugene to debate the student body from the University of Oregon. They were a very liberal campus in the 80's. While Richard and I were at the airport to meet Reagan my father-in-law got to talking to a Secret Service Agent.
As the Lord would have it we were given badges that allowed us to go to the room where President Reagan was. We showed the secret services the badges that were given to us and they let us in. To our surprise we were the only ones in the room with Ronald and Nancy Reagan. We had almost 20 minutes in the room alone with them and only one secret service agent.
Oh what a great man he was. Both Nancy and President Reagan were so kind. When it was time to go and speak he walked to center court of the gymnasium. They cursed him, yelled at him and shouted to the top of their lungs. He waited for them to finish and started to talk. They had thought he was not smart. Well I want to tell you something, when they started to ask questions he answered every one of the.
By the time he was finished he left with a standing ovation. Can you imagine it, he entered with curses and boo's and shouts. He left with applause and cheers. It was at that moment I knew he would be a great president.

I loved them Great pic. Even though I was young (2) when he was elected - I remember him very well. On his 2nd election - I kept telling my mother that he was going to win big (according to her). I do remember sitting inches from the Tv glued to the screen during the election coverage.

The reason I ask is I spent 12 straight hours going through over 500 pic of Reagan. Then programing over 20 different HTML pages. Then rewrighting the meta tag codes and then making them fit into the pages.
I re-did most of the photos putting color correction frames and styles.
It took almost all night to do it.
So I was just wondering what you thought.

Jerry the pictures are great you are good at this. I only hope to get half as good at computer stuff.
I just saw the picture of Ronald Reagan dressed as Santa with Nancy in his lap it was so cute!! I am sure she would appreciate such a fun memory of the man she loved.

Wonderful choice of pictures. I really enjoyed them. From what I have heard from people about him he was a great man and had a great sense of humor.
