I ask you to be with the military as they fight for our country to be a safe place to live and a place for their children and grandchildren to be proud of I pray that you keep these men and women close to you. Father, show your awesome power and might let them see who it is really that has protected them in this time of crisis in their lives. Comfort the families who are at home waiting for their soldier to return to them and keep thier soldier safe from harm as Carol has already prayed for them daily. I thank you for her willingness to hold them before your throne. I thank you that when I am at my weakest Carol and others seem to be there to hold the soldiers before you. I thank you that my soldier will be home very soon now. I pray you keep your hand of protection on him and the troops around him. I pray that his light will shine into the darkness and show your love to those around him that they may see Jesus living through him and that they may receive your salvation if not now in the near future. I thank you Lord you are taking care of us and have been and I know always will. I pray for David that you surround him with a legion of angels now that he is where my Dear Husband has been for almost a year. I pray the pillar of fire around him and ask that he never feel alone while he endures this painful seperation from his family and friends. I pray that their new baby will be safe and healthy upon arrival in the next few weeks. I pray that the family will feel the love of the only one who can get them throught this time of seperation. Father God, the news out of Iraq is more and more distrubing. 50 soldiers just brutally and cowardly murdered! Kidnappings continually going on. Bombs going off. Father, it is just all too much. The more I read and see the more my heart is burdered.

Father, I pray for this all to just cease. I pray for the terrorist to be brought to justice. These actions must be stopped!

Father, I continually pray daily for the safety of the soldiers, civilians and citizens of Iraq. May a hedge of protection be upon them. Cover them, Lord.

Father, my heart cries as I stand here in the gap between heaven and hell for those who live and work in the war zones! Father! They need You so much! They need Jesus so MUCH!!! They need Salvation! Deliverance! Healing! Protection!!! Jesus! Stop the killing! Stop allowing people to be sent to eternity in hell because of the men and women who are terrorizing their own people! Father, be in the elections to come in Iraq and forgive us for not praying for the elections in Afghanistan! Father! bring the socialist demigogery to an end in North Korea without war, without further killing and murder. Bring China to democracy without war. Encourage the Rusian government to continue in the direction of open and free elections and rule with freedom of speech and freedom of religion! Father! Heavenly Father, Thank You for the divine Guidance for our Military. Lord, you arranged it so that the top terrorist from all over have gathered in Fallujah. Lord, this is an absolute stroke of Genius that came direct from you. Lord, We ask that your Fire Annointing go before our Military. That you would send mighty Warrior Angels to fight for them. We ask that you would protect each one of them from injury or death. Lord, deliver these, Your Warriors, from all devices of the enemy. Father, we pray that the blood of your Son would cover them completely from their heads to their toes. Surround them with your Glory.
Let the enemy see your Angels and your righteousness, Save those who would be saved, and dispatch those who will never bow to you. Lord, this is a mighty spiritual and physical war for the Soul of this land and it's people. Seek and save those who are lost! Lead them into righteousness, and for the others, Lord we ask your divine Judgement upon them. This is Your battle Lord, you have shown me this plan developing for months, and I stand and Proclaim over the land of Iraq! Jesus Christ is Lord, and we claim this land and these people for HIS GLORY!

Marines turn to God ahead of anticipated Fallujah battle

NEAR FALLUJAH, Iraq, Nov 6 (AFP) - With US forces massing outside Fallujah, 35 marines swayed to Christian rock music and asked Jesus Christ to protect them in what could be the biggest battle since American troops invaded Iraq last year.

Men with buzzcuts and clad in their camouflage waved their hands in the air, M-16 assault rifles laying beside them, and chanted heavy metal-flavoured lyrics in praise of Christ late Friday in a yellow-brick chapel.

They counted among thousands of troops surrounding the city of Fallujah, seeking solace as they awaited Iraqi Prime Minister Iyad Allawi's decision on whether or not to invade Fallujah.

"You are the sovereign. You're name is holy. You are the pure spotless lamb," a female voice cried out on the loudspeakers as the marines clapped their hands and closed their eyes, reflecting on what lay ahead for them.

The US military, with many soldiers coming from the conservative American south and midwest, has deep Christian roots.

In times that fighting looms, many soldiers draw on their evangelical or born-again heritage to help them face the battle.

"It's always comforting. Church attendance is always up before the big push," said First Sergeant Miles Thatford.

"Sometimes, all you've got is God."

Between the service's electric guitar religious tunes, marines stepped up on the chapel's small stage and recited a verse of scripture, meant to fortify them for war.

One spoke of their Old Testament hero, a shepherd who would become Israel's king, battling the Philistines some 3,000 years ago.

"Thus David prevailed over the Philistines," the marine said, reading from scripture, and the marines shouted back "Hoorah, King David," using their signature grunt of approval.

The marines drew parallels from the verse with their present situation, where they perceive themselves as warriors fighting barbaric men opposed to all that is good in the world.

"Victory belongs to the Lord," another young marine read.

Their chaplain, named Horne, told the worshippers they were stationed outside Fallujah to bring the Iraqis "freedom from oppression, rape, torture and murder ... We ask you God to bless us in that effort."

The marines then lined up and their chaplain blessed them with holy oil to protect them.

"God's people would be annointed with oil," the chaplain said, as he lightly dabbed oil on the marines' foreheads.

The crowd then followed him outside their small auditorium for a baptism of about a half-dozen marines who had just found Christ.

The young men lined up and at least three of them stripped down to their shorts.

The three laid down in a rubber dinghy filled with water and the chaplain's assistant, Navy corpsman Richard Vaughn, plunged their heads beneath the surface.

Smiling, Vaughn baptised them "in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit."

Dripping wet, Corporal Keith Arguelles beamed after his baptism.

"I just wanted to make sure I did this before I headed into the fight," he said on the military base not far from the city of Fallujah.

Father, as the Troops go in to the homes and buildings of Fallujah I declare safety to the Troops and residents and workers of the city. Lord immobilize the terrorists and bring them to their knees in surrender to the Troops as they advance through Fallujah to bring the city to a state of peace and calm and release from terror! Show Mercy to this "City of Mosques" and show them Jesus! Turn this city of mosques into a "City of Refuge" for those who follow You and believe in Your Son! Cover Fallujah with the Blood of the Lamb that was slain for them! Bring to Salvation this city of mosques and turn them into Temples of Holiness, Peace and Love! Holy Spirit, move ahead of the Troops and bring this city to Jesus! Prepare the hearts and minds of the citizens to recieve the Word of Salvation! Jesus! Thank You Father! Thank You!!! AMEN!
