TEHRAN (MNA) –- Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei met with a group of the country’s military and political officials on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan, here on Sunday.

During the meeting, the Supreme Leader stressed that the Islamic world should realize it can regain its strength by relying on its potential power and following the guidelines of Prophet Mohammad (S).

The true Eid al-Fitr is when the Islamic Ummah (community) makes efforts to alleviate their great pains, he said.

Ayatollah Khamenei stated that lack of unity is the Islamic world’s most serious problem, adding that the Muslims’ weakness and disputes have allowed world powers to confront them despite Muslims’ abundant spiritual and physical resources and the fact that they make up one fifth of the world’s population.

Pointing to the crimes of the global arrogance in occupied Palestine and Iraq, the Supreme Leader said that the Islamic world and Muslim governments have become indifferent spectators of these crimes, which is very unfortunate.

Ayatollah Khamenei went on to say that fighting against Islamic states is the policy of the global arrogance, stressing that any Muslim country that shows weakness is doomed to destruction.

According to Islam, resistance, along with courage, strength, and unity, is the only way that Muslims can achieve victory, he added.

Referring to the various accusations of the world powers against the Islamic Republic, the Supreme Leader stressed that Islamic Iran has withstood the pressure vigorously and bravely despite the threats.

Ayatollah Khamenei also called on officials to show their appreciation for the country’s great and history-making nation, adding that officials should serve the people kindly and with all their strength.

In a sermon earlier on Sunday at the Eid al-Fitr Prayers in Tehran, the Supreme Leader hailed the Iranian nation for their massive turnout for the International Qods Day rallies, saying this symbolic measure will surely have a deep impact on the international political arena and the struggles against global arrogance.

Ayatollah Khamenei mentioned the atrocities of the Zionist regime against the Palestinians and the suppression of the Iraqis by U.S. troops, saying such crimes are signs of an "undeclared war" that the global arrogance is waging against Islam.

He went on to say that the resistance of the Palestinians against the joint crimes of the United States and the Zionist regime symbolizes the resistance of the Islamic Ummah against the exorbitant demands of the enemies of Islam.

U.S. officials, who are regarded as the main enemies of the Muslims, will face such resistance if they act against Islam, the Leader added.

Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the presence of Islam, spiritual values, unity, and vigilance in Iran as well as the people's participation in the country’s political affairs and the officials’ efforts to serve the people as important factors in the strength and dignity of the Islamic Republic.

These factors will prevent the global arrogance from harming Iran he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei underscored the importance of next year's presidential election in Iran and called for efforts to encourage a massive public turnout at the polls. Addressing audience at Eid Al Fitr sermon on Sunday, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the United States and Israel are fighting an “undeclared war against Islam” which has overshadowed Ramadan, the Muslims fasting month.

“The pillars of world oppression have launched an undeclared war against Islam,” Khamenei said.

“For all of those who observed the fasting, Ramadan became a month of mourning because of the tragic events in Palestine and Iraq,” he added.

“Every day during the fasting, Palestinians continued to give their lives as martyrs and the Iraqi people continued to suffer immense difficulties.”

However, Khamenei affirmed that “we see the signs of resistance across the Muslim world and the Palestinian people are at the forefront of this resistance.”

Lord, I pray that Islamic people have a chance to hear the Gospel preached! Please open a window in these countries. I hear that most of these nations are covered with the Gospel by sattlelite -- TBN. But, Lord, any unreached areas, let them be reached! I pray that You would defeat the devil and the demons and all their plans. Tear down every strong hold of the enemy of Your Gospel being preached. Open the way for the Gospel to reach these people. I pray for little loss of life (or NO loss of life), that people may not be sent into a Christless eternity. Do all You can to intervene in this, Lord. Stop the killing! People are dying and going to hell! Oh, quickly, intervene, Lord God! I ask in Jesus Name, amen.

Father, I stand in the gap for the salvation of this Ayatollah and his backers and his Generals. Holy Spirit, prepare him to hear the Word of Salvation and turn his heart towards God through Jesus. If they will not turn, remove them and replace them with men who will listen to the voice of the Spirit as He calls them to their Salvation. Prevent war. Father in the name of Jesus I stand in agreement with the prayers of my brothers and sisters. You alone are God, our supreme judge, ruler and authority. Let Your will be done in Jesus mighty name! Let all those that need to hear Your word have an opportunity to repent, and come to know You as their Lords and Saviour.

We know that in the end times there will be wars and rumors of wars. We know that You will show signs and wonders in the heavens and in the earth. We know that terrible judgment will come to those that refuse Your will.

We know that we just might be living in the end times. We know the outcome--Jesus comes back and once and for all puts an end to death, and turns all authority back to You, Father.

We know that the church will be raptured. We pray for salvation for those whose hearts are ready to receive Your promises. We pray for your protection over the families of our loved ones fighting for our values, our freedoms and our lives. We pray for our leaders, for the President and his new cabinet--let him pick those men and women of character and integrity that will line up with Your will; with Your values; with Your perfect plan for our destiny over the next 4 years!

Father, we know You do not love one of us above another. We know that You love each one of us and created us to be in Your image and to look like You.

Lord have mercy on Your people in the United States and Israel and look upon the spirit controlling the man who is called "Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khemenei" and do not allow this evil spirit free reign over the lives of Your people. Send the angels to bind him and render him an ineffective leader and an ineffective manipulator of the people and bring true repentance to his heart.

In his place we ask that You will put someone who knows the value You place on Your creation and the possibilities of healing that can come to his land and his people as they all become more and more obedient to Your will. I pray that this leader will bring honor instead of shame to the Middle Eastern reputation.

Father GOD, I come to you in the mighty name of JESUS. Let your will be done. Lord protect us, lead us and guide us. Lord please open the eyes of your people that can not yet see what is happening around them. Lord, please prepare us for this mighty battle which is sure to come.
