CLINTON GIVEN THE OK AFTER COMPLEX SURGERY


LATEST: Former US President Bill Clinton had his chest cavity opened for the second time in six months yesterday (10MAR05), when he underwent surgery in New York.

Clinton, who underwent heart surgery last year (04), is being treated for compression of his lower lung.

He has been given a good prognosis by doctors at the Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center even though the four-hour operation was not as straightforward as they had hoped it would be.

Surgeons drained liquid that had built up in the 58-year-old's right lung, but struggled to remove a membrane to allow the lung to return to normal.

Doctors had to pull open the chest and separate muscle and ribs after microscopic surgery proved too complex.

DR JOSHUA SONETT, who was among the surgeons treating Clinton, said in a press conference, "He's at low risk for re-occurrence and we have no other expectation of any other changes in either lung.

Clinton is expected to be kept in hospital until next week (beg14MAR05) and then he'll face another month of recuperation at home.

Dear Heavenly Father I pray for Bill Clinton that he will continue to improve every day and grow stronger physcially. I also pray over his family and ask a blessing on them as well in every way they stand in need. Bless this family spiritually to draw from the living waters of Your spirit and ask for a blessing of protection, in Jesus Holy Name amen.

Lord God, Father, get Bill Clintons attention this time (if not already). Lead him to Your will, purpose and plan for his life. Don't let him ignore it or run. Lord God, put that mighty call upon Bill Clinton, at this time in his life. Let him be on his Damascus Road, and let him find You as the one who is now directing and leading his life. Perform a miracle upon him! Heal him TOTALLY physically, and let him dedicate his life to You in thanksgiving. Father, penetrate every excuse, every blindness, every stubborness, every rebellion, every pride, every THING holding him back from submitting to You. Break him, Lord. Let him fall before You in repentence and submission.

Send to him his spiritual father and mentor! Send that one who will help raise him up and release him into the ministry! The one who will lay hands on him to transfer an anointing for ministry. Billy Graham? Benny Hinn? Jerry Gaffney? I don't know, Lord. YOU know. Send THE ONE, who will touch him, so he may touch the nations. Perhaps not someone well known; perhaps someone who has laboured in obscurity. This is Your plan. Let Your will be done.

Still standing, still praying. Reproting for duty! Dear Lord, again, they are saying that he is dying and covering it up. They also said he asked us to pray. So PRAY we will! Not the most crediblel source, being a tabloid. The enemy is fighting hard. The enemy is trying to take him out early or make up believe praying is no use because he's dying.
