Seasons Of Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5.17: "Pray without ceasing."

Over the past 18 plus years, this scripture verse has been my motto. Daniel prayed three times a day. David prayed, Moses prayed, Paul prayed, and many other heroes of faith recognized the importance of prayer. In fact, if these two words were inscribed on my tombstone, "He prayed", that would be my testimony.

God hears and answers the prayers of his children. Although the enemy works hard to prevent answers from coming, if you pray under the guidance of the Holy Ghost, you can be assured that your prayer was in accordance with God's will. I was facing some particularly difficult trials and I prayed for the Lord's help. That evening, I read the tenth chapter of Daniel where he was praying for 21 days about an urgent matter. An angel came and told Daniel that from the very first day he began to pray, his words were heard but a spiritual warfare ensued with the prince of the kingdom of Persia, the chief principality of Satan over that country. The angel had to call Michael, one which stands guard over Daniel's people (Israelites), to come help. When I read that passage of scripture and the first verse of Daniel, chapter 12, I realized I was in a battle. As I meditated on God's word, the Holy Spirit quickened me when I said, "By adoption, I am a child of Israel, Lord send Michael to help."

That night I drifted off to sleep and had a vivid dream. In this dream, I was fighting many demons. I was losing the battle and called on the Lord. I said, "Help me, Jesus, send Michael to help me." About that time, I saw a platoon (about 30) of soldiers marching towards me. They were dressed up in Army Blue Dress uniforms. The head one came up to me, rendered a hand salute, and said, "Michael reporting as ordered, sir." In my dream, I could clearly see his name tag and the Chief Warrant Officer Four (the highest warrant officer rank at that time) bars on his shoulders. I said, "Chief, I need help." He turned to his platoon and gave the command, "Round them up, boys." In short order, the demons were captured and herded into a white bus that had "PRISONERS" written on it. I woke from my dream and had sweet peace and victory in this battle. What a mighty God we serve!

Later, I met two men who believed strongly in the power of prayer. Their names were Michael (Mike) and Daniel (Dan). Ironic, isn't it? As I'm writing this, it still amazes me that here I am writing about Daniel and Michael and prayer, and God sent me two friends named the same!

Well, Mike was more like a David in his praying. He was a great singer, like David, and had a heart after God. Dan was more like Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. As Dan took his burdens to the Lord, he would begin to weep. As the tears would flow and the words of prayer came brokenly, you could see and feel the intensity of his prayers.

We three had many a season of prayer. Sometimes it would be just Mike and me, and sometimes just Dan and me. Other times all three of us we come together to pray. None of us were perfect. Like Paul, we all can say, "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak." However, God looks at the intent and purposes of the heart.

I want to tell you about one example of prayer for each of my friends. Mike called one night. He was facing some really rough trials and had been struggling in prayer. He lived about seven miles from me and he wanted to meet me at the Huddle House to have a cup of coffee and fellowship. Before I left the house, the Lord spoke and said, "Take that Bible, that small one that contains both the old and new testament, and bring it with you. I've got a word for Mike."

I met him a few minutes later, and as we drank our coffee, I said, "Mike, the Lord has a word for you." I pulled out my Bible, opened it to II Kings 13.15, "And Elisha said unto him, Take bow and arrows. And he took unto him bow and arrows." As tears filled his eyes when I spoke these words, Mike said, "Before I left my house, the Lord told me to put my bow and arrows in my truck. They are out there now." I said, "Let's go. We got to go out to a secluded place , pray, and replay exactly what Elisha and Joash did (II Kings 13.15-17). We did, and when that last arrow headed toward the sky, Mike shouted for joy as the Spirit of God moved on him and gave him assurance of victory!

I received a late night call about four years ago. It was Dan. He was in the hospital because of stomach problems. His bowels had burst. He was really in bad shape. As I went into the intensive care unit, where his family were gathered around him, he feebly greeted me and began to talk. He said, "Brother, I ain't gonna make it this time. I'm ready to go, and I told my wife I wanted you to say a few words at my funeral." I looked at him and said, "Dan, God ain't through with you yet, you still have a work to do," I put my hands on him and began to pray. I asked God to mend those places where the surgery had been done and to raise him up.

In about two days, he went home. Although he was weak, the Lord began to slowly mend him. He had additional surgery later to remove the bag the doctor's had placed there for his bodily functions. As I'm writing this, Brother Dan has fully recovered and is still working, praying and serving God.

Both Mike and Dan have prayed for me often. I appreciate them and may God richly recompense their labors for him.

James 5.16 "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervant prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

Seeing in the Spirit

I had this wonderful dream some years ago that shows the "way of the Spirit to me". Begin: I was in a thicket of brush, with two other men, and we were working as hard as possible (with machettes), hacking down the brush, sweating and working and not gaining ground at all. We were busy at it but not having any success. Then I heard a voice,a soft gentle voice in the slight breeze, speaking to me. I would not had heard it had I not stopped to wipe the sweat off my face. It spoke again, and this time I heard it say "come","look","see there is a way through". I moved in the direction of the voice, just a few steps, and I heard that voice again say "look". There was a place to step, I saw, between two trees, but that was all. The voice told me to try it, so I did. Then I heard the voice say "look there", and I saw another place to step, and I stepped there. Then again I heard the voice say "there, step there, and I saw I could, and I did. Then I stopped and looked back at the other two men and I called out to them, calling them by name, that I had found a way through the thicket.....they did not hear me and continued hacking away on the brush. Then I heard the voice again, calling o so gently to me, "come, look, see" and I looked and yes now I could... see a path that weaved through the thicket, I would not had seen it, had I not been still and at peace. So now I moved very carefully one step at a time through the thicket following this path that the voice at lead me to. Then......I came out of the thicket into a clearing and out upon a rock!
That Rock was Jesus! That voice was the Holy Spirit leading me to Jesus! How many are going the mans way but getting nowhere, be led of the Spirit of God and find a way though! CaptainTar

I wanted to share some intense dreams that I have had during the last two nights. The dream that I had the night before last went like this:

It was like I was a director of a movie. I have had many dreams like this. But I feel like I am emphasizing with the characters as if I am one of them. It was a movie about a family with teenage children. They were being stalked recieving harrassing letters in the mail and possibly by phone. They decided to invest in a German Shepherd puppy. The dog grew up. When the bad guys came to their house, the dog got em! He was named the $100,000 dog.

The dream I had last night had multiple parts. I had dreamt that my best friend Rachel was going overseas on the opposite side of the world for a while. She will be moving to West Virginia in real life. In the same dream, I was at the airport with her mother getting ready to go overseas myself on a flight that would be 17-20 hours to Finland. I ended up not going. My boyfriend Pete is supposed to be going away to Idaho without me to see his sister in late July and early August in real life. And boy, am I gonna miss him! I dreamt about him too, about his going away, but it was very fuzzy. I can't remember the specifics. They were blocked from my memory. I went to a person's house, and supposedly a relative of a friend of mine (of someone going away perhaps) came atop of me while I was on the couch at their house and vomited all over me. Yuck!

I have a pretty good idea that these dreams mean I am feeling insecure due to my fear of my property taxes and my relationship with Pete etc. etc. etc. but I would like your analysis. Thanks.

Exclamation My Post about my dream about the rapture disappeared!

Back in March, I posted a dream that I had that was so incredible. I was going to quote it and post a follow up to that dream. I had seen a photo in the newspaper that looked exactly like the wormhole experience I had in my dream. It was the dream about me dancing in the church holding hands with other loved ones when I felt an electrical current and lightheaded dizziness and was then sucked into this wormhole going beyond warp speed until I saw a bright white light. What happened to it! I know it was in here! I could not find it. I know it had to be March 21st or something because I know that I had that dream over the weekend and that I posted it first thing Monday morning in response to this thread. Well anyway, here is a photo which very closely resembles the wormhole I went through in my dream of being raptured.

Thumbs up Lauree's Dream Comes To Pass!

Here is an awesome testimony for Lauree. Her dream came to pass exactly as she had dreamed, and the LORD interpreted!

We serve a truly Awesome God!!!

Mathew 13:45-46 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

The two paintings is her relationship between her and her husband. The hardwood floors are a symbol of their walk being hard, complicated by the forces of darkness.

You will have an opportunity to show where the enemy side-tracked them, and possibly bring them back to a point of restoration. the Lord does not give us these types if dreams to just fancy our curiosity! We are to pray for the individuals, and when opportunity allows try to help...It sounds like the husband may be a little more established in his faith, and will be able to relate with you much more comfortably.

When you mention just being able to remember a sense of the dream - it depends. We cannot base our dreams upon feelings we had during/after. Try to write your dreams down when you very first wake-up!

I hope this helps sorting this dream out a little. Have a very blessed day in the Lord!

I have been waiting to see if God was going to reveal the couple mentioned. It has remained in the back of my mind, but yesterday my co-worker who also sits in close proximity to me, was relating the trouble his wife has been having lately relating to her faith in God. I had chills big time, immediately remembering this interpretation. I told him part of it and he felt chills too. His wife was born without one hand, she is blessed with two children (pregnant with the third) and she is a stay at home mom. Roque provides very well for them. She became diabetic from her pregnancies and is currently having to take shots of insulin twice daily. She miscarried last year, which was very hard on both of them. She has been crying a lot lately (probably due to hormonal changes), but is also asking "why me" about her physical challenges and the diabetes. She's wondering why God is doing this to her. They are a younger couple. I think he turned 30 this year. They had gone on vacation a few weeks back and he showed me a picture of them, she looked really tired. Roque is spending a lot of time working. I think he gets overwhelmed with home life, even though he loves his wife and children. He feels his wife's faith isn't at the level his is and that he loses patience and finds it hard to relate to what she is going through. The Lord used me to minister to him on several issues and I am asking prayer that God will give me the words that he needs to hear. Thank you for your prayers.

The Presence

Note: When I was young, about 8 years old I would pull the other kids in a red wagon around the yard all the time, but then one day I said I'd like a ride too, but not one of them volunteered. I didn't know that they didn't think like me ( it was a pleasure to serve them). I have always been different then most other kids and spent alot of time alone, these days I find GREAT personal pleasure in serving others!
I grew up in a very large house, I had my own bedroom and slept soundly most of the time. At about 12 years old I had an experience that shocked me. It was night and I was alone in my bedroom, it was dark and quiet, and I began to sense "the presence" of someone! I saw nothing, yet I knew someone was close at hand. Then I felt that IT was getting closer to ME! I WAS SCARED!!! It touched me, not just my hand, but all of me at the same time, everywhere, all around me, at every point. Then IT held me, and though I knew it had the power to crush me, It didn't. I was not crushed but comforted!! It was a warm fuzzy feeling and I knew that IT cared for me. I felt as if It's face was pressed as close as possible to mine, nose to nose ,eye to eye, I felt totally exposed, yet IT was as well, exposed to me!!!! I had never been that close to anyone before, and IT looked into to me in a way that I didn't understand. IT had my total attention! Then it was gone!
This happened many times, always in the same way, always in my bedroom, in the dark, quiet room.
Then I grew up and it didn't happen anymore. I recieved Jesus at age 22 and went on with my life.
One day at a prayer meeting, that I attended reguarly, with my eyes wide open and during worship, "the presence" appeared in the meeting, and for the first time I knew it was JESUS. He came in the same way, but it was in the light, with other people, during our worship time. He touched me the same way as he did when I was small, and now I knew it was HE that visited me as a child!!!!
This happened only one more time, when I was talking to friend on the phone, "the Presence of Jesus" came to me, and I told my friend about it, AS IT HAPPENED !! My friend finally accepted Jesus as his own, and then went home to be forever with HIM. Praise to God, the Father of all! Captain Tar

Comment: I've had many dreams and visions in my life, BUT not all were from God, some were just because of a rough day at work and I was restless. Many times, working as a dishwasher, I would have dreams of washing dishes, and I'd wake up totally exhausted (without pay too). So judge rightly!

Curtis,
You are right! There are many different types of dreams, and they each need to be discerned as to how they apply to our walk - or, if they are even of God, or not!

Thanks again!

Exclamation Testimony

Brother and Sisters in Christ,
Greetings! I have been spending time with the LORD, and reflecting upon my personal life-long testimony. During this time I was doing something I was not supposed to be doing - comparing my testimony with others.

I have had many battles, and many victories, many bruises, and scars, but they never seemed to be as dramatic, or supernatural as others.

Then, the LORD caught my attention, and refocused my vision. Our testimony is a continual process, and He showed me why not build a testimony like Enoch?

Genesis 5:24 - And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Hebrews 11:5 - By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

This is the testimony I truly desire to have! "HE PLEASED GOD!!!"

Our God is a jealous God, and we are created for His pleasure! One does not have to die - to see the face of God!

Just like Pastor Jerry's teaching on the first purpose of the anointing - is to minister unto God. I want to be Pleasing to Him, walk like Enoch, and share the same testimony! No more war stories, or supernatural healings for my affirmation. I only want to do what I was created to do - PLEASE HIM!!!

Be in peace my brothers and sisters! See the revelation of this testimony in which we can all share in! And have a very blessed day in the LORD!

Semper Fi!
-Bill

BTW It's 1:11

PRAISE GOD!!!

Dream about neighbour

Hello Everyone, I've really enjoyed reading some of the postings on this page. If I may, I would like to post one of my own. I am a fairly new member here to the forum, but I truly feel the annointing of God here. Praise His precious Name. I am a newby to dreams and the area of dream interpretation. However I would like to share a dream that I had that came true recently. My neighbour had been preparing to have some fertility treatments as she and her husband have been unable to conceive. she shared her intention some weeks before having the proceedure done, and that she would be confined to bed for 3 weeks to make sure the procedure took. One night God showed me in a dream this women in her house. In the dream I went to visit her. I took a piece of home made cheese cake, to her, as I knew that it is something that she liked. As I approached her house, I had to climb some steps to get to where she was. When I entered her house, she was sitting in the middle of a large blood red couch. She beckoned me to entered and smiled at me. As she smiled, I notice that many of her teeth had fallen out. I woke up. I thought the dream was strange, but I didn't pay much attention to it thinking that it had just been a dream. Well my neighbour had the fertility procedure done and I did go to visit her. I had to climb some steps to get to where she was as she had transferred to the top floor as she had to stay in bed. When I arrived, she was sitting in the middle of a red couch. I vaguely thought of the dream but I still didn't make a great fuss. Besides I hadn't taken any cheese cake to her and she still had all of her teeth! Some days later my husband asked me to make a cheese cake for his birthday as this is his favourite type of cake. The same day, or maybe the next, the husband of my neighbour came along. I offered him a piece of cheese cake to take home--not at all thinking about the dream. He then told me that the fertility procedure hadn't worked and his wife almost had gone crazy; she was very upset. It was at this moment that the Holy Spirit brought the whole entire dream flooding back to my mind. I became cold. I can tell you that it was an eerie, eerie experience.

Any comments are more than welcome

Thank you
May the Lord Richly Bless you

the dreams God gives will help you

I havent been on the last 3-4 months, I have been dealing with so much all at once, but things have taken a turn and the Lord has provided me with weapons to fight. Through my dreams in 2005 without knowing he was showing me bits and pieces of what I would go thru and the outcome in 2006. I asked God what to do in the time of my crisis, he showed me in a dream what to do and now I am doing it. People, the dreams God gives will help you, your dreams will give you instructions, he will show you how to fight, he will show you who your enemies are and reveal secrets. He will show the heart of the enemies camp in your life. This is a testimony for my current situation on how God will use your dreams...
