Dear Lord, I pray that this site really can be REDEEMED for You. I pray that if Benny owned the site, he is able to get this idea resurrected and going...will get all the porn off and use this for the Gospel. I pray, Lord, that You will have a mighty hand in shutting down on line porn and in getting old porn sites into the hands of Your people to spread The Gospel. I ask that people would no longer be able to go to these sites and feed their sexual addicitons. Let the demons be exorcized from these sites, and let The Holy Spirit take them over. Perform miracles, in Jesus Name, amen.

I find it confusing that every answer to this question is what Jesus did. Yes, of course he sat with sinners. He loved the sinners, not the sin. Jesus sat with the least of what society of that day considered acceptable. There can be no comparison between Jesus sitting with, touching the "unacceptable" of that time and Benny buying porn sites. Benny Hinn does not move among the least of society or sit with them. He is a class of "televangelist" that is NOT moving among the people.
I find it amazing that people here say they would buy the same kinds of sites to reach the lost. The lost are outside your door. The are in your church. They are in the homeless shelters. Go there and sit with them as Jesus did.
Jesus walked among us. He had a love of touching and being with and healing His people. There is NO comparable comparison to how Jesus reached the lost and Benny Hinn's actions.
Love and touch people as Jesus did, do not follow the ways of some televangelists who do not spend time with people.
I am a social worker in NYC. I get so many chances to see the outcasts among us. There can be nothing more loving than using yourself to do this work. If everyone visited the lost and loved them and sat with them and ministered to them as Jesus did (NOT HINN) then the world would be a kinder and gentler place for the brethren among us all.
Follow Jesus example and use a hands on approach. Jesus reached His whole world using Himself and His followers. Let us follow THAT example and make no more comparisons between Jesus's ministry and the buying of porn sites. Jesus never needed the media. We are losing the human touch. There is nothing people respond better to than the one to one kindness of a believer. IT IS LIFE ALTERING. Do not be conformed to the things and ways of this world, follow Jesus' example and the work of His kingdom will be finished.

Dear Lord, I pray that porn sites will be shut down. I pray that Christians may aquire these sites to preach the Gospel. I am not sure what happened to the Benny Hinn site that he purchased, but I pray that You will get involved in seeing that it is used for the Gospel, as Benny Hinn intended. I pray, Lord, that You will give Christians EVERY POSSIBLE means to spread The Gospel, on the internet and otherwise. I pray we will help the homeless, as well as the hopeless addicted to porn who may be rich and sitting in their homes on their computers. I pray that You will allow everyone You want to reach to be reached. Lord, I know that You can do all things and with You nothing is impossible. I find it totally in the realm of possibility that You can transform places of ungodliness and turn them into places of Godliness. I pray You will do this with porn sites and other undesirable sites on line. Father, let us be Your hand extended on the internet as well all the work we are doing to the local people we touch in all walks of life. I pray that You will move in mighty power through such internet endevours. Let souls be touched and reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Let lives be transformed. Turn these sites into places where people can be delivered from the evil entrapment of porn. I claim porn sites for Your Glory, in Jesus Name.

Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. And I believe we can use any means possible help him in that. God is not confined to the local soup kitchen or homeless shelter. Since we are not to let our left hand know what our left hand does, I won't try to defend who I help or touch. That is between God and I. But if I can preach the Gospel through an internet site, I do not see anything wrong with that, be it an old porn site or a site I set up on my own. I still have an awesome vision of people who are addicted to porn hitting on that site and finding Jesus Christ instead. If it's Do What Jesus Did, again he came to seek and to save the lost. And that was the intent of Benny Hinn purchasing the website.

It seems like your beef might be with "televangelists" in which case you need to turn these people over to God for His dealing. It is not our place to judge them, no matter how much we don't like what they are doing. I neither defend nor support their actions, here. I simply say I am not qualified to judge, and the Bible is plain that I should not. If I am in a position to discipline them according to Matthew 18, then I would have to do that if I had heard that they were in continuing sin. But with what measure I judge others, I will be judged. Judgement has been placed in the hands of Jesus Christ. The man who was forgiven much went out and would not forgive his brother a lesser debt, so he was thrown into prison and tormented. Therefore, truly and really, we dare not pass judgement on anyone. God knows the hearts. I beleive by their actions we can know them, so we can pray for their salvation if they are not showing good fruit, but if someone professes to be born again, we are to let God deal with them if we see things that we believe to be sin in their lives. I'm sure I have plenty of sin in my own life. They stand or fall before their own Master, as do I. If I do not like what I see -- or what I think I see -- I pray for them. To come into a public forum and criticize them gets no-one anywhere. There is no ministry called "sling mud" or "find fault" or "keep a record of wrongs." It is time for the body of Christ to grow up and start responding with the love of Jesus Christ to others (I include myself in this, because I do like to find fault). This has been a struggle of mine with recent stories circulating (true stories) in the body. We want to point the finger and say where these people are wrong. But the more I study scipture, the more I realize that I do not have a right to my opinion on another "brother" or "sister" in the body of Christ. Or should I say, I keep it between myself and God, and I ask Him to show me what's right and how to pray and to do what's right in dealing with them. I am not saying I am very good at this, as recent situations have pointed out to me my own fault in judging others.

Okay, think of it this way: these are people that Jesus gave his life for, just as He gave his life for you and me. He loves them with an everlasting love. Do you not think it breaks his heart to see His children fighting with each other? The "I am of Benny," "I am of Whoever" scenario? I am of Jesus Christ, is what all of us should be saying. We are all children of God (if we have put our faith and trust in Jesus and His death and resurrection for our justification), so we need to learn to get along and love each other as Jesus would want us to. Jesus did not die for me any more than that other "brother" or "sister"; I am not more "saved" then they are.... We are all called to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (not our "brothers" or "sisters," though we can turn a backslidden brother or sister back to The Lord, according to James).

A teacher of the gospel is held to a higher standard according to the word of God. So Benny Hinn and all teachers must be extremely careful of what they do.

I am sorry that you have chosen to focus on what You think might be my attitude towards "televangelists" and not on the heart of my response.

Dear Sister in Christ, have you understood what "Evangelism" means? Do yo realize its what this "Prayer Board" does? But, that must mean Pastor Jerry wasted his evangelising money for this as well, seeing as how soiled internet is with filth and worldly attractions?

I ask Sister, that you rethink your stand on this as gaining internet sites for God, so His Light can pierce thru darkness on here evangelistically is no different than Pastor Hinn going to some remote or less evangelised Country. It fits right into his "calling" of God wether you accept that or not.

If we were face to face speaking here in this Country, it could be local Evangelism, but Pastor Hinn has clearly stayed within his "calling" of Evangelism around the world by taking on such sites.

Many times what we may consider is not of God can easily be, knowing He is going to pour out His Spirit upon all flesh in these latter days. No one person can reach everyone, but can cover more area with using all the tools God provides.

I find it interesting you come down on him from a "fame"direction, "Teleevangelist" "who does not move amongst the people".

hmmmm, guess I been watching the wrong channel then, as I've seen several of his recent Evangelistic Missions to other Countries. Now, if thinking Pastor Hinn is slacking in his Mission if took any time off, maybe you should read God's Word about the Apostles travels and how they took time off and on and gather together, break bread, discuss things, etc.

People who put God in a box and think thats all He can do or would do, are wrong. And No, Hinn is not Jesus, but Christ did declare His Church would do the same as He had and many more miracles.

God knew the world would change and there would be many more ways to sin or do good now, than in simpler ways to live of the past. Thus, God has to cover more groundto keep Satan quelled. And God's ways are not ours, so many things God will do, we won't understand, which I see for some in this case.

You spent the above post and two other posts saying Benny Hinn was wrong. Your attitude is very plain. You seem to not like Benny Hinn and in this post mentioned "televangelist" like that is something bad. So I do not believe I was thinking what I thought your attitude might be . It was plain what your attitude was.

The heart of the issue is that you want me reaching the local lost or those I can touch hands on or see face to face. But my view isn't far removed: let's reach the lost, near or far from us. Use any means possible to preach to the lost. Just because I can't look them in the face doesn't mean I can't reach them. Do you know how many people have been touched by this website, yet we have never looked most of them in the face?

But my view, too, is let's lay this to rest. Like Paul, let's praise God where the Gospel is preached. Let's agree to disagree on this issue. We can spend far too much time going back and forth, when that time would be better spent praying for the lost or preaching to the lost...or aquiring a website to preach to them. No matter what forum, whether hands on or on a website, I praise God where anyone is spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ!

You haven't offended anyone here. But you will find, the group that works here have been Blessed by God to look at the "half full" side- (optomistic) rather than the "half empty" side,- (pesimistic). I was not offended, either. I simply wanted to point out God's ability to do and use anything to get Hiis message across. If I came on sounding offended, I did not feel that way. If I got in the flesh at all, I apolgize. I do get that way when pounding on some point.

I have seen Benny Hinn handing out food to the poor, anyway, so he does get involved in more than just preaching. But as an evangelist, it is his job to travel and preach, and if he is doing His calling, that's what matters. Using an old porn site to preach would be one more aspect of him fuliflling his call.

I am continuing to pray that God shuts down porn sites -- and if He takes them over for His Glory even better! That's one thing this whole situation got me thinking on: we need to pray that God closes down internet porn sites!!!

I am glad I read this article cause I thought Brother Benny had done lost it. Great idea the porn sites use all kinds of sneaky ways to pull us in look up on google some innocent word or something for a project you'll find some porn in it I used rebel flag for my sons civil war project last year and we had some pop up. Even with safe search on. I like it. I think that was most definately a God idea.

Yes, well, I find it interesting so many back up Ministers until God leads them to do something Christ did- (Deal directly with past rejects and pagans), then come down on them like they are a disease for that, just as Christ was too.

I guess I never thought so many would drop thier faith in Ministers as much as do with God until a problem hits, then they are gung ** for God to help them.

When God's Word shows actions that are inline with what Pastor Hinn did, particularly God's Children, should acknowledge God's bold move thru Hinn to do this even without explaination.

We need to come to terms with the fact, off and on, as Jesus did, we too must go to Satan's front door and enter to clean house at times on his own turf. God strangely enough turned me back to Ministering in bars, after deliverin
