Cutting and Pasting.
Should we post the same prayer over and over on all the prayer requests? Maybe I can type up a prayer and copy it and paste it all down the line to all the prayer requests? Am I taking too much time reading and responding to them individually?

Your prayers only last for 24 hours
I have to be off for the meeting but I want to leave you with this thought.
Did you know your prayers only last for 24 hours.
I will fill in the details after I get back about 2:00am

I await the reasoning behind this... in the meantime, I ask God to protect this prayer board against ALL attacks of the evil one Satan and his minions. This includes supernatural protection against virii, trojans, bugs & worms of ANY sort sent to this site, or to the prayer warriors here!
-- King James
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME DEAR GOD,and lift it up on high...I thank you for this wonderful prayer site! Bless JG and his family, for the work they do for this site!

Maybe we need shorthand for agreement with their request. Maybe 'Ditto'.
Maybe 'Me too'.
Is that a good suggestion?
What else could be used?

Here are a couple of verses to think on
EXO 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM:
He is the God of the NOW
He is not the God of yesterday
He is not the God of Tomorrow
Some people live in yesterday
Some people live in tomorrow
He is the God of Today.
MAT 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
He commanded us to stop the fear we have about tomorrow.
He commanded us to pray for today.
LUK 11:3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
LUK 9:23 ¶ And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
Think on these for awhile and talk about them.
I will share more later

Your prayers only last 24 hours
[Ok now the statement of 24 hours make sense. God does call on us to come to him all the time so it makes sense that you can't excpect him to be there on a part-time basis. Thanks for simplifying something for me. Sometimes I look too hard at meanings andmessages and I think God is really complicated but He is not. Keep up the good work JG. I really appreciate this site.
God Bless

Here is another thought.
When we pray for protection for someone.
When we pray for God to lead someone to His presence.
When we pray for God to heal someone.
Those prayers only last 24 hours.
When Joshua was in battle there were two startling events.
AAron and Hur had to hold up Moses's hands.
Hands up we were winning.
Hands down we were losing.
EXO 17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. 17:12 But Moses' hands [were] heavy; and they took a stone, and put [it] under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Have you ever wondered why.
Johsua needed more time to win the battle Why
JOS 10:12 ¶ Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. [Is] not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.
When a person is being prayed for God's justice demands he leave them alone when they ask to be left alone, unless someone had prayed again.
You pray God moves
They rebuke God and say leave me alone
God needs permission to bug them
They are not asking Him
And he can't see them because He says He hides his face from them.
So he can't go bug them again unless someone asks.
He needs another petition in heaven to show the devil he has a right to bother one of satans people.

Did I just hear a collective moan go up from the intercessors when they thought about all the prayers that need to be said...again... for on going requests for the new day plus all the new prayer requests for each new day? I know I groaned when the thought hit me that what I was doing was inadequate.
How are we supposed to do what it is obvious we need to do?
Do I just lay hands on my computer and ask a generic prayer for everyone? That feels very mean hearted.
Do I just pick and choose which ones I repeat prayers over? Too much like Judging who is worthy. I already have to pick and choose who I pray for because there are so many!
Do we insist that people re-post their prayer request with updates? While this would be nice, it is impractical. And what about the person who was only able to get on line one time?
Praying without ceasing is not an easy task. How do we do it, Jerry?

MATT.6:5 ¶ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
No! to the short hand! That is unfeeling and just plain rude.
And there should be as little cut and paste as possible. I have been known to use the C&P method to pass on the same information but I always try to personalize the pray that is sent with the info.
If you do not have the time to type in a prayer, you should simply pray without posting or come back when you feel like praying in the posts.

Very good point.
I cannot pray for everybody I ever prayed for every day.
Simply praying something like this "Please God help all the people I ever prayed for" will also not do it, will it ?
And there are also other points which are still unclear. Does 24h mean 24hours or does it mean til the end of the day ? When I pray at 5pm will my prayer last until 5pm the next day or will it only last until the sun goes down ? And after all why does God create these complicated rules ? And why didn't Jesus mention this essential info ? If this is really true than many people pray less effective than they actually could.

As far as Cutting and Pasting goes.
Try and be led by the Holy Spirit.
No one is in a hurry.
Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom.
He will let you know.
ROM 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities (the Holy Spirit helps our weakness and when we are in sin) : for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
Please be at peace.
No one person can carry the load.
We see the task here.
This little hospital room is very small
But God has trusted us with his people.
He knows we want to help in prayer
He certainly knows how big the job is.
Think how many prayers he gets in a day.
So this is just a drop in a bucket.
One small prayer given by the Holy Spirit through a humble servant can do more good than a thousand words that have been cut and pasted.
Although I do not see any harm in cutting and pasting some of the verses on healing, depression etc to encourage someone to read and feed on the word.
Remember "faith comes by hearing, hearing a word from God"
