FRIEND, You, who have come through the painful experience of a divorce, of seeing your past dreams come to nothing; do not feel alone or useless. Do not feel marked forever nor that there is no hope for the future; that you are too old; that you have no new opportunities, or that your life is over. Since we cannot change the calendar or move back the clock to past time in order to live it differently, God has promised to return us the time we have lost (JOEL 2:25). Since we cannot change the calendar or move back the clock to past time in order to live it differently, God has promised to return us the time we have lost (JOEL 2:25.-"I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten -the great locust, the young locust and the locust warms, my great army that I sent against you") time that we have wasted by our own choices, and if He has said it, He will do it. (MARK 13:31.-"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away"). Why feel guilty or ashamed for your past failures? There is no one in the world who has not erred. (ROMANS 3:10.-"...there is none righteous, not even one"). Today is a new day! Today you can begin a new life! Do not torture yourself thinking about what you could have been or what you werenīt, or what you should or shoudnīt have done. Remember what the prophet said: (ISAIAH 43:18-19: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing. Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."). It is not our place to judge another, nor to judge ourselves, but rather, only to humbly recognize our errors and commend ourselves into Godīs loving hands. Is is only God who can judge, and the Son who justifies us and intercedes for us. (ROMANS 8:34: "Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died; more than this, who has raised to life, is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.") A new life is waiting for you. If you are going through some dark times, remember that the darkest time of night is just before daybreak. Just around the corner, the sun is waiting to smile on you. We have known and suffered the consequences of our own human decisions. Nevertheless only God can see the heart of each one. Why not let Him be the one who chooses your true partner, and ask Him for his blessing to move forward with confidence? YOU CAN STILL HAVE A HAPPY AND SUCCESSFUL FAMILY! |
