 My Dear Friends: As I called the doctor and explained my symptoms, he said go to the hospital. So, I called another doctor - not telling him I just got off the phone. As I explained my symptoms, he said go to the hospital. I did this a third time. I guess I am just a little stubborn. All three said the same thing. You have to go to the hospital - NOW - and have an MRI. All I knew is that I had to wait for my Friend to come, for without Him I can and will do nothing. You see we have this special place we meet everyday. He is so faithful. It does not matter how bad I feel. He is always there. I find strength and great peace after our morning meetings. I so understand the verse that says, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. He doesn't seem to mind my pride. He is never shocked with my bad ideas. He never seems overwhelmed by my problems. All I know is that He is there. As an ex-Marine, fear and tenderness are not on the top of my list of qualities I have worked on. But I have found when I thought I lost all friends He is always there. I have come so far in the last four months, yet it seems I have so far to go. When I ask my Friend why all of this has happened to me, He just smiled and said: "Count it all JOY when you fall into these fiery tribulations for they are teaching you patience and giving you an experience that will teach you hope and a great love from God". I shouted at my Friend and said I did not want nor need any more patience. He just smiled. I went to the hospital. I do not like hospitals. They gave me the MRI. That was an interesting experience. The machine is only supposed to do people 300 pounds or less. I weigh 320. So, they tried to put me into this machine. Well, let's just say I did not fit too well. After a couple of painful tries they got me in. This machine is 57 inches round, and my tummy is 60 inches round. Let's just stay it hurt to be in a tube smaller than I am. I also believe there was a demon of fear there. It took them about 40 minutes to do me the first time. We almost made it on the 5 o'clock news! You see, when it was time to take me out, I got stuck. My skin was rubbing on the walls of the tube and I could not slide out. Then, after I got out he put some kind of dye in my veins, and said I had to go back. It took all the courage this Marine ever had to go back in that machine, but I did. Here is the list of things the Lord has done: Blood pressure is now 110/70 - it was 195/110 Sugar levels are now 110 - it was over 500 Cancer is almost totally healed. They said it would take about a year and has only taken 60 days. The 4 large Lumps on my lungs are gone. The growths on my arm and legs are getting smaller Things to pray about: There has been some nerve damage to my legs. After the MRI and EMG and many other studies they have said it may take a year. The symptoms are great pain and sometimes I cannot walk. It is a minor problem - my legs will not hold me up. This is what I know. After meeting with my Friend, He said, "Always remember, By His stripes you are and were healed." My Friend told me today that His calendar is different than the doctors. So I asked Him what he wanted me to do. He said, "Faith comes by hearing, hearing a word from God." He said, "Jerry, I want you to personally record all the healing verses in the Bible. I then want you to listen to them everyday. Faith will be birthed in you and the healing is already on the way". He said not only will you be healed but many others will be healed also as faith is birthed in them. So, "IN YOUR FACE, satan!" My God has already spoken. I can't wait to see the final miracles happen - not just to me, but to the multitudes. I call this getting even. God has already done so much and I know He is not done. So, we will see the total healing for His honor and glory. There is no fear in me, but my Friend was right. I seem to have a need to work on that patience thing. So, please, pray for me. I want to thank all of you who have stood with me during this time. Thank You for your prayers. Thank You for your cards and letters and emails. Thank You for your monthly support.
