Marysville Assembly ..They were going to cut her leg off Articles / Jerry's Notes Date: Jun 04, 2002 - 12:36 AM We went straight from Sequim to Marysville First Assembly of God Church.....As I laid hands on her, I perceived that there was faith for a healing, so I asked her to walk with me. We walked up and down the rows. .... At the end of the morning service, she marched right up to me with no help and said "They don't understand. I couldn't walk; I couldn't walk." I said it was OK, My Dear Friends: We went straight from Sequim to Marysville First Assembly of God Church and started that Sunday. This would be the first time I had to preach three times on Sunday: at 9:00am, then 10:30am, then again at 6:00pm The people at Marysville bad been fasting and praying for 40 days for the Lord to move at these meetings. You could feel His presence when you walked on the grounds. The church holds about 450 comfortably. Sunday started with about 40 people coming forward for prayer in the 9:00am service and about 20 more in the second service. The response of the people was wonderful. By the evening service there was standing room only. They were sitting on folding chairs in the lobby looking through a window and the doors. There were over 600 people coming already. Don't you just love the Lord! On Sunday night a man, about the size of Arnold Schwarzeneggar, came forward. Ali the Lord had me do was touch his stomach and say," Come out." Well, I want you to know sometimes It would be nice to know what Ams coming out. He immediately had fire In his eyes, grabbed my left hand and growled. The Holy Spirit immediately had me put my right hand on his chest and pray. He fell down under the power of God and could not get up. It was so great to set Pastor Ken Squires, right there praying for the young man.. I just love you, Jesus. You know exactly who to bring and help in these matters. The young man finally let go of that demon and was set on the path to be set free. Seventy more people came forward for prayer that evening for getting right with God. I think Jesus seared some in that night. That's 130 people in one day and that was just the first day. Wow! I felt so humbled just to be a part of what the Lord was doing. Isn't He wonderful! By Tuesday people are already giving testimony of beatings and what God has started to do in their lives. It Is almost standing room only tonight and the hunger on their faces Is something no one could mistake. When the attar call was given over 100 people came forward for prayer. It Is real hard to separate the salvations from those coming back to the Lord. I have asked the Lord to help us do a better job so we can disciple the sheep. On Wednesday 2 people got saved in the morning meetings. This morning was my 500th service since we started last year. Lord, I had no idea what You meant when You asked me to get on this chariot of fire. By the evening service, I don't know where we put all the people. They were In all the aisles, sitting on the floor, on the platform, and In the entry and hallway. Again, they came running to the altar. Over 100 people came forward during the first call. Fifty of those were giving their hearts to the Lord. I just know God Is about to birth something wonderful here. The meeting lasted till after midnight. It was awesome to see so many caught up in the presence of the Lord for so long. On Friday, service started at 10:00am, and In some ways, ran into the evening service. I left at 2:00pm so I could get ready for the evening service, and they were still singing and praising the Lord. As I understand, some were still there at 6:30 when the evening service started. Again, it was standing room only. Some say there were well over 600 people there that night. Friday evening over '75 people came forward In the first wave for those getting right with the Lord. Tonight we had them go Into the back room for prayer with Pastor Ken. it was so wonderful to see the response. Over 475 people had come forward for prayer this first week. It would be impossible to separate first time salvations from those who were rededicating their lives to Jesus. All I know is that I had never seen such a harvest Lord I pray that we do not lose one of them, not even one. The beatings of backs, hearts, asthma, arms and legs were also so many I can't watt to get the letters later on confirming their healing as they go to the doctors for a check up. Sunday morning the battle began. The devil never gives up ground easily, but what a wonderful God we serve. As the first service started, Pastor Ken brought up a lady named Lois. She was In the hospital last Friday and was supposed to have her leg cut off. The operation was postponed, because Jesus had other plans. They brought her up for prayer. Pastor Ken asked me to pray. As I laid hands on her, I perceived that there was faith for a healing, so I asked her to walk with me. We walked up and down the rows. She started to cry because she realized few understood the miracle that was taking place. The enemy had blinded so many eyes that they could not see. At the end of the morning service, she marched right up to me with no help and said "They don't understand. I couldn't walk; I couldn't walk." I said it was OK, but could she please come and give testimony in the evening service. There were over 15 first time salvations in the two morning services and many came forward for prayer. Sunday evening was standing room only again. They were on the floor and in the lobby and all over. Lord, If this continues, we will need a bigger church. We started by baptizing over 20 people. To see the fruit of the harvest and bear their testimonies was a blessing to behold. Well, Lois came to the evening service and gave testimony of the healing of her leg. She said she had been In much pain and had not been able to walk for months. She said her leg was so bad the doctor said the only thing be could do was to cut It off. Well, Doctor Jesus, the master surgeon, gave His second opinion. As I prayed for her continued healing, the Lord asked me to walk, then to run around the church with her. As we did, the congregation jumped to their feet, cheered and gave all the glory to Go& It was so wonderful to see them understand what God was doing. I preached two full sermons On Monday morning there were more people than ever before. The presence of God was so strong. Over 40 people fell under the power of the Holy Spirit in the morning meeting. You just knew God was about to do something wonderful. Two people got saved In the morning service and we prayed for intercessors to be set apart by the Lord for the harvest It was one of those services you will never forget. Again some stayed till the evening service. Monday evening was some meeting. The people in the balcony never did sit down. I was afraid they would fall over the ledge. They just stood pressed against the ledge from 6:30 until about I 1:00pm, because they wanted to see what God was doing. People had been touched by the Holy Spirit all over the church. They were under the power of the Lord, In His presence, and on the floor almost everywhere. God was healing some, delivering others, and blessing many more. The joy of the Lord broke out during the sermon and it was so wonderful to see so many touched by God. I just pray that those who don't understand the wonderful joy of the Lord will ask Him to show them why He does this. When the attar call was given, over 200 people ran forward for prayer. It was the largest harvest In any one meeting I had ever been in. There were 30 first time salvations, and the rest rededicated their lives to Jesus. To me, this was the sea] or the earnest of the Holy Spirit's approval for the service. If we are not here for the honor and glory of the Lord and for the harvest, what are we here for? What a harvest it was! We had to make multiple calls for prayer counselors because of the response. And this was only Monday On Tuesday evening, the Youth Pastor from Lake Stevens, was healed immediately In front of the whole church. I had told him earlier he had an appointment to be healed on Tuesday evening. He could not talk or sing and was going to have an operation on his throat later that week. The Holy Spirit had we place him right up front and they watched him be healed. He sang like an angel with another woman who had been healed in Me manner a few days before. They sang "Amazing grace, how sweet the sound ... " On Wednesday morning, my son Shawn preached his first sermon. He Is 25 years old and had just given his heart back to the Lord a few months ago. When I saw him up there, all I could do was cry, and of course feel as only a happy papa could when he sees his prodigal come home. I love Jesus, I love You so much for bringing him back to you. Shawn asked all the kids 25 years old and younger to come forward and spoke to them. He asked them to make a pledge to Jesus to do It right. He asked them to show the adults how to live this life with Christ. He asked them never to be hypocrites. He sounds like someone I know. Can you imagine who that would be? Wednesday evening again was standing room only. They were everywhere. I preached on sticks and snakes. The Holy Spirit had me lightly touch some people on the head with a stick I had In my hand. As I did, they fell under the power and prayed for over an hour. When the altar call came, those men who were still on the floor, were so caught up with the Lord that they bad to be carried off the attar to smother room so we could have the space. Again the harvest was great On Thursday the Baptists showed up because of some healings that had happened earlier In the week to people in their church. A lady with lupus came forward for prayer, many In wheel chairs and many with cancer. It is so wonderful to see God touch so many now. The pastor from Lake Stevens, who was healed, sang a song he wrote to the whole congregation. It was powerful. People are giving testimony of lumps and cancer leaving their body, rashes disappearing and healings of all kinds. Again over 30 salvations and many more coming back to the Lord. Friday was one of the days In your life that was so holy, you almost do not want to talk about It. How can you have words for what there are not real words to describe As I was having communion, a little boy who Is partially. mute came up to me and held my hand. He then put his hand on my pocket like a handle and followed me around the whole time while we prayed and sang. That evening his mother said he was being healed. He could now say the letter "L" which he could not do before. There were 120 there this morning. That's an Interesting number, you know, and we were all in one accord. Well, I want to tell you the Holy Spirit came In His glory. As we prayed, I know every one was touched by the Lord. About 115 of the 120 were on the floor. Almost no one could stand In the presence of God. Even those 4 or 5 who did not fail under the power of God had to sit on the floor bemuse it was almost impossible to stand in His presence. There was a holy hush that morning. We knew God was working In all of us. That meeting just continued till the evening one. The) The evening service was so holy. We baptized ever 20 people again. Pastor Benny said that as they touched the water everyone started to tremble. As they came out of the water, that same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead overcame them, Some fell under the power of God and had to be carried out of the tank. It was almost too holy to behold. Pastor Ken prayed for all the children 10 and under. It was beautiful to see to many children on the ground worshipping the Lord. There was a young girl named Leah who was to blessed by the Holy Spirit, she was under the power of the Holy Spirit for over an hour. She lay at my fed praying in the Spirit even during the sermom. I bad never own such a look of the glory of the Lord shine on one person as on her. When she started to get up, I saw her face, and I started to cry. The Holy Spirit was all over her. Some saw what I saw on her face. Her whole face shone with the glory of God. When I turned her around so the people could me, some gasped In awe and wonder when the), saw her face. Lord, I will never forget what you did that night. We prayed with her parents and her dad carried her off the Platform. My son Shawn asked if he could pray for some of the young people whom God had touched earlier in the week. I said yes. it was a thrill to see them all blessed by the Lord also. At the altar call almost 200 again ran to the altar. There was Do room, so I just stood in one place and prayed. As the Holy Spirit touched them men would have to carry them off to other rooms because there was no room left out front. I am Dot sure where they took them but they had carried almost 30 off the platform who had fallen under the power of God. One man came up and said," I am a sinner, and I am dying, and I am a murderer. Will you pray for me?" It was wonderful to see him on the floor with the Lord, although the men standing behind him to carry him off were not to sure about this.
