Come to me all of you who are Date: 02 September 99 From: Jerry Gaffney Subject: Is Jesus your garbage man Dear Friends: Let me tell you what happened the other night in the tent meetings here at Sherwood, OR. This is our last week. We have been here four weeks now. The Lord had me say the following at the offering. "Jesus wants all your garbage. He wants your hurts. He wants your pain. He wants your failure. He wants your sin. He paid for it. All you have to do is put it in His trash can. Every day is trash day. Come to me all of you who are ...." The power of the Lord came down in the meetings the other night. That was the altar call at the offering. Not at the end, but the beginning of the service. They wrote down their sin on a piece of paper and ran to the altar. On the pieces of paper was their garbage On the pieces of paper was their pain On the pieces of paper was their shame. Did Jesus really want this as an offering? Is this what he really wanted us to do? Well, I want you to know they ran to the altar What was the kind of stuff on the paper? 20 of you came who had an abortion and have never felt forgiven. 10 of you came who are in or considering an affair right now. 10 of you came who are or have considered suicide right now. 15 of you came who have or had homosexual affair and no one knows. 10 of you came who have stolen something so big you can't pay it back. 30 of you came who have lied so much you don't know how to stop. 10 of you came who have been addicted to something and need it broken. 20 of you came who have wanted to kill some one After each call they ran to the altar. They ran with tears in their eyes. They ran with the fear of the Lord in their hearts. They ran to be set free. There was no condemnation that night. There was no guilt. There was only the liberty that can be given to a prisoner set free The praises rang out with the clarity of a chapel bell. The singing could be heard almost a mile away. The police called the church because of the noise that day. It was Thursday night and we were singing our hearts out to the Lord. ISAIAH 42:10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth,........ Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains. ISAIAH 42:12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands. ISAIAH 42:13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: ((The Lord is jealous for your praise)) he shall cry, yea, roar; ((The Lord will roar against your enemies)) he shall prevail against his enemies. ISAIAH 42:14 ((The Lord will win against your enemies)) I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; ((The Lord screams for you)) I will destroy and devour at once. ((He will destroy your enemies if you praise Him)) I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools. ISAIAH 42:16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; ((He will show you the way if you praise Him)) I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. We have seen cancer healed. We have seen tumors disappear We have seen frozen joints be loosed after 40 years. We have seen those with so much pain be set free. All of this is during the worship services. Oh, people, please, see praise is the only way. Oh, people, please, don't be too busy. Praise is the only way. Oh, people, please, don't say you don't have the time. Praise is the only way. Jesus is moving across the land. Praise is the only way. He is looking for all who will move with His Holy Spirit. Praise is the only way. Get ready Pacific Northwest. Get ready now. This is the day the Lord has made. This is the day He has declared. Now is the time for the harvest. Don't you see it? As we praise the Lord, He will fight for you. As we praise the Lord ,He will deliver you .As we praise the Lord, He will destroy your enemies. Jesus wants your hurt and pain. Jesus wants your shame. Jesus wants your failures. Jesus wants to treat you just as if you never sinned. Now that's worth praising about! Will you take time with me today?? Will you take it right now? Sit back. Close your eyes, and take just a few moments and praise the Lord. He is worth it. He said, if you praise Him, He will inhabit your praises. He said, if you praise Him, you please Him. He said, if you praise Him, you glorify Him. He said, if you praise Him, you will not fall to pieces. Let's just praise the Lord. Let's praise Him in the morning Let's praise Him in the evening Let's praise Him at noon time. Let's just praise the Lord all the time. He is worthy of our praises. I hope this blessed you today. I just got caught up in the Lord. Monday - Friday 10:30am and 7:00pm Over 400 have given their hearts to Jesus in these meetings. Many are being healed and filled with the Holy Spirit. Each night the Lord has moved in Biblical ways.
