New Life has been my home Church since May 1996. I was one of several "walking wounded" that came from another Church. After going to that Church for seventeen years and being quite involved, when I got to New Life, I became a "spectator". I didn't want to get involved with anything.

I had been a Christian for about 22 years, but I didn't really start "growing" in the things of God till I came to New Life. The first year you came to New Life, I didn't know if I wanted to come and see such a radical person. I wasn't used to that kind of preaching, and it made me a little uncomfortable. (Well, more than a little.)
Then you came back the next year, and I wanted to see what everyone was talking about. After that I was "hooked". I look forward to you coming every year, as I know most of our congregation does. This year is different. There's more of a sense of expectancy. It's just different.
I would like to share something with you:
Friday, August 16, I came to church, and you prayed for people at the end of the service. I kind of stayed back and waited. Sometimes I feel like I'm being greedy when I want to be prayed for. There were others there I felt needed it more. But, I finally went forward and you came over to me and I was expecting you to pray down the "Fire", like you usually do. But, instead you said "in the middle of the biggest storm of my life God was going to bless me. That He was going to restore seven fold what the devil had stolen." THEN you prayed the "Fire" down. You confirmed what God had already told me, but you know when you hear something like that, you think it's just you. You had no way of knowing what I was going through.
GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY, JERRY.
