"The Day the Holy Spirit Became Real in My Life".

John 4:13-14 ( New king James Version )

Jesus answered and said, " Whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst, But the water that I shall give him will become In him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

This verse became the most powerfull verse to me and became the turning point in my way of life, and way of thinking in the bible.....

First of all God showed me threw this verse several things.... One God gives us a free will.... Look at the verse ... It said WHOsoever drinks.... meaning we have to take that innitiative to go and drink it excercise our free will.....

ILListration:
Imagine you have been walking 20 miles in the desert, and it's 125 degrees outside, and by the time you finally arive at home you are hot and thirsty and tired. You go and get a glass down and pour yourself a drink of water. Then you put it on the table and sit down in the chair....
Ok question... what do you have to do in order to not be thirsty anymore?? hmmmm think about it
Is your thirst going to go away by you just sitting there and staring at that water? hmmm please dont say yes lol I think you know the answer to this.
We gotta pick up that glass and actually drink it to quench our thirst correct??? aww come on give me an amen ..... its not gonna jump up and give ya a drink u gotta do your part...

ok
Now lets apply that illistration to our walk with this passage..

Read the verses again....
Jesus answered and said " WHO soever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst, But the water that I shall give him will become In him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting Life."

ok
Now remeber the illistration I gave you and this verse..

Now, let us apply this with our walk with God.
When we want to be filled with the living water { Holy spirit, God} we have to do what as it shows in that verse?? Look at it? or stare at it? hmm
it says whosoever DRINKS right?
Just as that glass of water isn't going to do you any good unless you drink it,
neather is it going to happen unless we excersise our FREE and we do as this verse says
DRINK from the living waters.

God is offereing himself to us all (redemption) the living waters Is also representing eternal Life, but its up to us to take that first step and DRINK it ..

Saying, Lord GIve me this water that I may never thirst again. Now its our choice to daily seek, pray, read and seek after God. But just like my illistration God gave me YOU have to DRINK that water Gods not gonna make us do it he is just gonna offer it to you as a gift...... ITs our choice

AMEN????

FluteforGod

I hope this blesses you all as you read it it changed my life from that day on.....

Thats what the verse meant to me you could read it and it mean totally different thing because none of us are at the same place in our walk and God is able to show us tottally different things and reading the same verse... He may show you a different interpretaton all together, I'm just sharing what he showed me.

God bless you all and I love you
your sister in christ
