| Nine years ago today the 11th of February 1994, the Holy Spirit came into my life in a new way. I had never asked the Lord for this. I had never asked to preach this way. I had never even thought God could use me. You see, I was a sinner. A real big sinner. Most people did not like me when they first met me. So, I had to fight for almost everything. I could hardly read or write until I was 23. Even now, my wife has to correct almost everything I put down in print.
For seven years, I had been on a prayer team that kept me in the presence of the Lord for almost 40 hours a week. I had been praying for revival. I had been praying for revival to hit my church. I had been praying for revival to hit my pastor. I was not praying for revival to hit me.
When the Holy Spirit moved that day, He moved on me. He did touch all the people that were in the morning prayer meeting. He did touch all my friends, but I sure did not understand any of it. My pastor and I went on a trip for 10 days. When we came back, I was asked to speak in a church. I had no idea or real understanding about the "Chariot of Fire" the Lord was putting me on.
What was the cost?
1: I lost my church
2: I lost all my non-family friends but one, Leo.
3: I lost my house.
4: I lost my job.
5: I lost my hobbies.
6: I lost my life as I knew it.
What have I gained?
1: I have gained Jesus in my heart in a new way.
2: I have gained a new understanding of the Word.
3: I have gained a new relationship with the Holy Spirit.
4: I have learned how to trust God.
5: I have learned how to walk with Jesus on a daily basis.
6: I have learned how to be abased and to abound.
7: I have learned what real revival is.
8: I have learned how much God loves me.
9: I have been used by God. That makes me cry.
"Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory of The Lord."
1: I have seen the Glory in a baby's cry, after it was born dead
2: I have seen the Glory in the smile on the face of a child who could hear for the first time.
3: I have seen the Glory in the joy of a mom and dad watching their child walk again.
4: I have seen the Glory in the eyes of a drunk being set free from the addiction that was killing him.
5: I have seen the Glory on the face of a husband when the cancer left his wife.
6: I have seen the Glory in the praise of a people caught up in the heavenlies for over 6 hours.
7: I have seen the Glory in the families reunited by Jesus in the most impossible circumstances.
8: I have seen the Glory in the miracle of shame being removed from a soul, never to return.
9: I have seen the Glory in my whole family getting saved.
I have seen the Lord these last 9 years. It has been almost 4,500 services now ,to almost one million people. Does that mean one million different people? I have no idea. Only the Lord knows. But we have seen over 250,000 people come to the altars in the past nine years. We have seen towns touched by the Gospel in ways they had never been touched before. I have seen the Glory of the Lord.
What is next? Only God knows. There are so many who need my Jesus. There are so many who are afraid to let Him work in their churches. There are so many places to go, and so few workers. Oh, Jesus, I now know what You meant when You said in Luke 10:2, "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly [is] great, but the labourers [are] few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."
