We had no permission to preach the gospel and we do not have special visas (which are impossible to obtain). Technically speaking, they had every right to either put us in jail or deport us. Spending time in an Indian jail is not a recommended activity. Being deported is a permanent way of closing all ministry in the future for that country. You may not go back. They informed us that they would make a decision that Friday. They postponed on Friday until Saturday morning. It was in this small window oftime that we called on our friends in the USA forprayer support. Within hours, thousands of peoplewere involved in intercession and warfare. Thecombined effort of Jerry and other faithful peopleall over the world brought heaven down. I did notsleep too much that night in anticipation of theverdict coming down on Saturday morning. Saturday morning, the police officials in Cochin handled the case. Somehow by a miracle of God, their hearts were changed and we came out of our situation by paying only a small amount of money to the authorities. We had to promise not to say something negative against any other religion in public places. That was easy, for we have so much good to say about Jesus Christ that we do not have time to say much against the others! To say the least, we were elated! That night we went back to our gathering place and started to preach on revival and the power of joy in God. It felt like the whole world was praying for us at that moment! There was such an enormous breakthrough in the Spirit The Holy Spirit came down and thousands were blessed. This once stiff people started praising and dancing in the Spirit, as I imagine David danced before his Lord. We could not stop the service. The joy was incredible. The prayers to get us out of jail got these people out of their jails of religion! Like Paul and Silas in prison, prayer and praise resulted in their freedom as well as the freedom of those around them. On Sunday many were baptized. Sunday night the revival went on and many were healed and blessed. The joy never stopped and these people suddenly opened their hearts to us like never before. The children ran after us and just wanted to touch us. What a blessing! It will not surprise me if we receive reports in the months to come of new churches and evangelistic works being planted in the region. The last revival this group has had was in the year 1905. We believe that the Lord is doing it again and that this revival will indeed bring forth the harvest. A great source of help and encouragement for us came from Jerry Gaffney and his team. In December, I got on a flight to Amarillo, TX to spend some time under his anointing. It was really a big step of faith for a "broke preacher", but I knew that it was from God. In Amarillo, Jerry was in the process of stirring up revival in a local church. At the meeting, Jerry ministered and later on prayed for me. The power of God hit me so much, I was so overcome, I fell on my face before the Lord. There, God spoke again and gave me more direction for the future. Again it came through clearly: "Go to the nations.." Thank God, He does not only direct, He empowers. That night Jerry spent hours counseling and educating me about the future of my ministry. Thatindeed brought a turning point in my ministry. Some amazing things have been happening since. Ifelt clearly that I had to go to South Indiaagain. The India project has always been veryexpensive and a great financial challenge. Thistime it was different. The money came in well inadvance. The attack was from anotherdirection. Please continue to pray with us! We are on our way to Africa, Madagascar, and wherever God sends us. Whatever you do, please do not stop praying for us! This is just a short note to say if you are still reading this then bless you for caring so much. I do have one concern for Dr. Johann. He traveled to Singapore and Hong Kong where the Sars sickness is. Will you pray for Dr. Johann because He is very tired from the trip and I don't want any sickness on him at all. Also I will be meeting with His brother next week to get more details from the trip.
Thank You again for being there. We received emails from all over the world praying for Johann. God was doing a might work. Thank You for being there.
