I've sought after a renewal of the history of revival for 10 years, and feel so wonderful to be apart of something so many others just talk about Les Thelander, Pastor Amanda Park Christian Life Center Amanda Park,WA Letter to Jerry I am happy to tell you about what the Lord has done in my life during the meetings with Jerry Gaffney held between Amanda Park Christian Life Center and Quinault Valley Chapel. Aug 20- Sept 28 We had been having a very difficult time in knowing God's will in our lives and our Church. The churches were mainly a result of a church split 9 years ago. I also was in turmoil about knowing if this is where God wanted us. As a result, in May we began to earnestly seek the Lord and attend meetings while Jerry was at Central Park. He began to minister to us then and gave us encouragement. Along with other events, meeting and increased prayer time, God was preparing us for an awesome move in His Holy Spirit. God has given us a scripture in Isa 43:18,19 We have stood on this scripture for 5 years of pastoring. This scripture fit so wonderfully to our circumstances of forgetting the old and look to the new. But the part about "it's raising up and you don't perceive it” was what happened. We didn't expect it, didn't realize it until days before Jerry came, when word got around that the Lord told him to go to Quinault. I have had the desire to see a move of the Holy Spirit like this for 10 years. We saw literally 120+ saved, 50 baptized, 50-60 filled with the Holy Spirit, and probably 15-18 people healed. In particular, warts began to literally fall off people. Backs were healed. One lady, in a wheel chair 8 years, got up and hasn't needed it since. The Lord moved in my life in ways words would not fully describe as Jerry began to teach us many things concerning the anointing and share that anointing upon us. I began to pray with people and know the Holy Spirit would touch them as they then fell under the power. The Holy Spirit began to give word of knowledge for some, encouragement for others and even healings. One situation that actually happened twice during meetings. A lady was having a heart attack. I came against the spirit of death and that of fear and saw those spirits leave and peace come upon her. The authority we have in Jesus was taught and seen in this time and since. Listening to the Holy Spirit and being sensitive to His desires was another high point. Understanding the price of the anointing and the perseverance to keep it in fellowship with the Holy Spirit is something I'm still learning and know I'll never learn it all but desire to learn as much as I can. This time in the meetings with Jerry has changed my life and given me the hunger for Jesus I had at first. In May of 1994 the Lord asked me do you trust me and being in Home Mission His faithfulness made it easy to say Yes. But thru over 1 year of painful and difficult situations still saying yes I trust you Lord I began to see His purpose in asking. May I be accounted trustworthy of such a wonderful gift as the Holy Spirit has given His anointing.
