God, if this is truly you, keep me down

I cried out in a loud voice, "God is sitting on me." ....

I have read many times about the power of God falling on men in such strength that they were unable to stand. Accompanying this demonstration of this great power came also the overwhelming sense of unworthiness. Accounts given in the scriptures by the Old Testament prophets and New Testament apostles describing those two facets of the Holy Spirit. In modern times many saints of God have written about similar experiences. I have read many accounts without understanding how or why God would move in such a way.
In my particular experience I had just finished leading worship in an evening service. The feeling of anointing was not new to me, but on this particular evening it was especially strong. As I turned and knelt on one knee to return my guitar to it's case I was overcome by weakness. I brought my other knee down and knelt on both knees erect. His presence grew stronger and I found myself on hands and knees. His presence continued to increase. As it increased I flattened out face-down on the platform. As the enemy came in he convinced me I was there of my own doing, making a spectacle of myself in front of the whole church.
I determined in my heart to rise to my feet but first I offered this prayer. "God, if this is truly you, keep me down." To my surprise as I attempted to get up I was unable to move. As God continued to confirm His presence I cried out in a loud voice, "God is sitting on me." I've never had such an experience, but I expect to again as my desire is to press into God.
