protecting our children with good morals

Please help me – with prayer support for the following ! Please pray for myself and my family, that God would grant us blessings and protection as I continue to reach out across America about this issue! Thank you for your prayers.
(I can provide these documents in word format to anyone who requests them, as an attachment !)

To whom it may concern,

DO YOU WANT TO OVERTURN ROE V WADE?
DO YOU WANT TO MAKE PARTIAL BIRTH – A STATE ISSUE?
DO YOU WANT TO OUTLAW SODOMY AGAIN?
DO YOU WANT TO MAKE PORN GO AWAY?

The results of this approach, if carefully considered, will be far more favorable to you and I and others, who believe in good morals, then might at first appear.

Please read this and pray about its contents, with the realization of the profound effect such an effort will most certainly have on our people. Having the potential to restore the balance of power in our great country to the local political community which is much more easily influenced by the local population.

When Nehemiah began to rebuild the wall - they said it could not be done - When he and others finally got around to building the wall it was miraculously completed in 7 weeks and 3 days - afterwards they had a revival and at the end they passed laws which affected the sexual habits of their citizens.

Jesus told the woman taken in adultery to go and sin no more, not to go and institutionalize your sin. In another place the Bible makes it clear that though hand should join in hand, the wicked will not go unpunished! Do we not realize that America is exporting it’s filth throughout the world? Will not God hold us all accountable for this wickedness seeing as how we live in a free society?

If you support this goal then forward it to as many people who will also support this cause as possible.

After much prayer God has given me hope for the future of our great country in this way. It is time to tear down as Jesus said about the fig tree and cast into the sea the power of those who would dismantle our society, giving to ourselves and to our children on the local level another opportunity to set our own moral standards - we need to stand in the gap for those who are undecided about what is right and wrong and we need to do it now.

Souls are hanging in the balance - will you stand with me in this way?

If we can get enough people to print out this document and sign it and send it to their congressman it will take on a life of its own - thus transforming the political landscape - if we will only believe - we will see God work for us

Thank you

With great respect,
Tom
Declaration

March 11, 2004

To whom it may concern,

WHEREAS, The Supreme Court of the United States of America has recently shirked its responsibility to make just and righteous judgments in regards to the sexual activities and behavior of its citizens,
And WHEREAS, Said courts and others in the federal system, recent decisions have amounted to calling immoral acts, legal,
And WHEREAS, The Supreme Court’s most recent decision* was more akin to a judicial surrender, by its own opinion, thus abdicating the inherent moral responsibilities to others,
Now THEREFORE, in the spirit of our founding fathers, I do now solemnly present and declare – A Declaration of Independence from sexual Tyranny – with these words…

“NO FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY, POWER OR COURT, SHALL HAVE ANY RIGHT WHATSOEVER, TO USURP THE RIGHT OF ANY SINGLE STATE, TO ESTABLISH ITS OWN MORAL STANDARDS, AS THE LOCAL POPULATION SHALL SEE FIT, SPECIFICALLY IN THE AREA OF HUMAN SEXUAL ACTIVITY, BEHAVIOUR, CONDUCT AND DECENCY.”

Now is the time, to forward this declaration to the United States Congress, for consideration, as the correct and proper way to deal with the Defense of Marriage Act, by amending, with said words, the constitution of the United States;

Expanding our just complaint to a preferable scope, which is appropriate to the sensibilities of a moral majority.

Your speedy and wholehearted support of such an amendment, thus laying out for future generations, a sensible, rational and balanced foundation, in the area of human sexuality, is no less important to our country and our posterity then the international fight against terrorism and the effort to stop the spread of weapons of mass destruction.

Such a response, to the present moral darkness, in the form of amending our beloved constitution, will restore a sense of power, dignity and control to our people, just as great as if we had fought and won another revolutionary war against a foreign power.

Cordially, and with great hope,

, citizen

Explanation and Defense

We are all equally responsible for the outcome of this debate. No one is on the sidelines, because this affects our children.
Are we to be content to tell them, sexual perversity is a choice, like the clothes we wear, or a condition which cannot be changed? Are we going to have the moral backbone to stand up to this spirit of lust and say no – you cannot have the next generation.
Sex is not a mystery that only enlightened federal officials can solve – it is a simple part of life which we all equally share. This is one of those things where we need to stick to the tried and true.
That is not to say that the federal government should not or can not make laws about the sexual activities of its citizens – only that the federal government should not be allowed to usurp the laws which the states make.
This amendment, as proposed, will create a sovereign status for each and every one of the states within a very narrow scope while at the same time preserving the sovereign status of the federal government within the same narrow scope. Each state’s opinion will be equal to each and every other state’s opinions, yet their opinions will not be subject to the federal government’s review or approval.
We will create a competition, if you will, in morality – which is always tending toward more efficiency, better service, brighter ideas and improved understanding.
This concept and method of dealing with the national debate on sex in American life will be good for America and its citizens.
This area of concern will no longer intrude upon and be used by each of the several political parties to push their views upon our school children through the use of federal funds. Funds, which are returned to those who paid their taxes to the federal government, but returned with strings attached about what must be taught in the classroom.
This area of concern will no longer be an area which a federal candidate for office will use to be elected to that office.
This area of concern will no longer be an area of concern which is used to pit men against women in any federal election or appointment.
This area of concern will no longer be an area of concern which can be used as a litmus test to be appointed as a federal judge.
All of the above examples will become areas of state significance, only to those who live in each of the several states thus demoting the issues of sex to a more appropriate level of societal significance in the national debate. The effect of which will be to purify the national debate in the sight of all of our international peers.
Human sexuality will not be used, by any federal employee or power, as a political football in international affairs, ever again.
The federal government will be obliged to cooperate with each of the several states, in the appointment of its officers and employees, thus constraining upon the federal government a greater respect and appreciation for each of its several states.
Such a state of affairs at worst seems to allow a more humble attitude from the federal government toward those whom it governs. The effect of such an amendment will also be to lessen the continual distraction from those affairs of state which are of utmost importance to a federal government, such as the proper defense of our nation. One additional effect will be to significantly reduce the cost and size of the federal beauracracy.
Initially, the deregulation of morality in America will encourage the improvement of morality in America in most places. In those states where the conditions worsen, we will be obliged to realize that they were the source of the problem to start with. Over time, their local citizenry will rise up and put an end to whatever failures there may be. As the blessings of righteousness fall upon those several states to whom it is due, and the curses of wickedness arise within those states to whom it is due the affairs of our country will tend to ultimately improve the overall moral conditions throughout the country...
Human understanding of those issues will then greatly increase due to the contrast between the different behaviors in the different states.
Those states which choose to adhere to the more traditional and virtuous conducts must move quickly, using their new power, to attack and restrain the spread and effect of pornography. Those states that exercise their new power to clearly define pornography will be able to put this so-called freedom of expression in its proper moral place in society. Each of the several states could even demand the total end to it within their borders, by whatever means are legal and necessary.
The states will be able to define freedom of expression, where pornography is concerned, yes and even to define pornography to the liking of their citizens, greatly reducing and restricting its influence and power among our young people. The immediate effect of which should be a great reduction in premarital sex, venereal disease and abortion which will help to reduce somewhat the effects of teenage rebellion. As the effect of a more virtuous society continues, less infidelity should occur, as a great motivator (pornography) is quieted.
As a direct result of less infidelity and adultery, sodomy will also decrease dramatically, as there is a direct relationship between the two.
The power of the federal government should then be used to help enforce the will of the local populations in the several states, if so called upon to do so, specifically in the area of pornography and especially in the area of internet pornography.
Once the power of activist federal judges is removed in regards to this issue, and as the issue grows in prominence from state to state, it will force people, especially in the political arena, to take public stands on the related issues, and to do so among their peers, in their own communities. A more appropriate outcome is almost certain. The social pressure should work to the advantage of those who side with good morals, in almost all circumstances.
The deregulation of morality will be good for America, although it may not seem so at first. Such a concept lends itself to this question, how did it ever come to this. Why is the federal government in a position to decide the moral values of my local community in the first place? When the concept of a federal government was first conceived, the representatives of the federal government had to beg the states for the money to raise an army. Today its citizens have to beg for money to hire lawyers to defend themselves from our federal government. Surely, this will be a slice of humble pie well deserved by the federal government and long overdue,
Such an amendment will elevate the role of the federal government to that of a benevolent arbitrator, between states, on the several moral issues, thus removing it from the role of Lording it over, our citizens on moral issues, which will have the added benefit of removing a great deal of anger and mistrust of the federal government about its rulings on those issues which the citizenry finds particularly abhorrent and wrong.
The moral issues of our citizenry should not be elevated to the status of a civil complaint, in the same way the moral judgments of society at large should be held in higher esteem then the moral judgments of any of its singular citizens.
The federal government’s failure to successfully separate moral issues from civil issues is a tremendous failure and cause of distress. Therefore an amendment to create a special category, just for moral issues is urgently required to restore a sense of balance in government.
The judicial blurring of the line separating civil from moral issues is a clear violation of the moral rights of the majority, and carries with it the appearance of having been done so intentionally with disregard and disrespect for the sensibilities of our people.
Any discussion about morality can never be just a discussion about morality. All moral issues are centered on the concept of the influence that the accepted standard will bear upon our people. Each and every issue is always both a discussion of morality and a discussion of influence. Do we want our dearly held moral beliefs in this country to be a good influence on our young people or an evil influence?
Article III of the US Constitution gives the Congress the right to limit the scope of all judicial reviews, which lends itself to the question of why? Why hasn’t the Congress already limited the US Supreme Court from exercising judgment in this area? Surely the great divisions in our social fabric are a direct result of Congress not having the foresight and or the backbone to stop the moral disintegration of morality in America by restraining the US Supreme Court from its withering moral decisions.
Civil rights and moral rights of individuals and society must be clearly defined and separated in order to advance the public peace.
If we give the power back to the states we know what will happen. They will surely vote to end the moral morass that is our present darkness.
Why should the people be prevented from having what we know is their heart felt desire for a strong moral environment?
How long will we hesitate between two opinions? Clearly the federal government has proven that they cannot be trusted to make the correct moral choices that we all know are necessary in order to form a more perfect union.
How long will we allow the immoral individual to be elevated above the constraints of common decency and made to look like a hero or heroin? They are neither. Truly the immoral members of our society wax worse and worse deceiving and being deceived.
I am not saying that I or others should not be subject to higher powers or authorities that will make and impose moral judgments and laws, only that those who now enjoy such power in the federal government are too far away from the local community in their thoughts and motives such that they cannot see its corrupting effects, nor do they apparently care about its corrupting effects. This is an obvious inequality of power which should not be tolerated by a free and upright people.
Morality does not exist in a vacuum, nor were its roots buried into the fertile ground of men’s conscience mind and spirit, in a closet. Neither was right and wrong perceived by our forefathers as if in a fog of darkness. What is tried and true is in fact tried and true.
The only people who are confused about right and wrong today, from a moral point of view are those who do not wish to hold others accountable for their actions; are those who deliberately and with conspiring voices seek to say that good is evil and evil is good.
The rights of an individual must not be subverted in a free society, but neither can they be allowed to control the moral foundations. The rights of the individual should not extend to a point where society is forced to lower its commonly held and deeply loved moral values and principles nor to the point that society must suffer offense day in and day out to its sensibilities.
The federal government derives its power from the states by taking the money of its citizens, then it turns around and controls how we live by giving us back our own money with strings attached.
The present movement to amend the Constitution of the United States by forbidding the term “Marriage” to be used when same sex couples commit to one another is understandably correct and right. It is however, only a crumb, and will have absolutely no practical effect in the everyday moral environment that our children live in.
The foundations of a building have to be exactly right, or when it is built, it will settle and move around, sometimes requiring extensive repairs.
When one brings to the table of national debate, an issue of such tremendous foundational importance, it must not be considered on the basis of whether or not it is constitutional. That is the point, after all, to consider whether or not it would be good for our country. If it is accepted by the people and made a part of the constitution, then the issue as presented becomes the basis for what is constitutional, not the other way around.
So it is with this new amendment I propose this day. Let us come together and reason together, as to whether or not this is good for America. I believe that it is. This concept should be the basis upon which all moral law, in relation to the sexual activities of our citizens, is derived among our people.
We would be well served to pay close attention and notice who among us is opposed to such an amendment, and ask why.
Tolerance is a virtue, unless and until, it begins to destroy virtue.
If all of our citizens were adults when they were born, I could find no cause to bring this complaint, but somebody somewhere had better bring this complaint and do it fast, for the next generation is watching and they need our guidance.
This is not the presentation of some kind of new law; it is the sounding of an alarm to transfer power; to change the basis of our rules and the way we do things here in America; to correct a miscalculation in the direction of our common pilgrimage.
Immoral people are fundamentally and by nature always unstable, morally speaking – so if they are allowed to set the moral standards then immoral people will lead the rest of us into an unstable immoral environment which is totally wrong and totally unhealthy. I am not condoning the mistreatment of immoral people – compassion and reaching out to them is always in the best interest of all members of any society, but we must not compromise our dearly held moral standards as we do so.
Anytime society creates a wall it is designed to be used to deter someone from doing something – society realizes whenever they create a wall that the wall can be breached – they already know that, any wall can be breached. A wall should be erected and is erected in many places to keep people from going places – to keep them from going somewhere, to keep them from doing something.
When Nehemiah began to rebuild the wall - they said it could not be done - When he and others finally got around to building the wall it was miraculously completed in 7 weeks and 3 days - afterwards they had a revival and at the end they passed laws which affected the sexual habits of their citizens.
In the same way the moral walls of our society should be rebuilt. We should not allow them to be destroyed by judicial decree. Our society needs moral laws to continue to constrain and deter people from – especially weaker members of society - from doing things that are harmful to them or destructive to them and by extension to others. The wiser members of a society should use their guidance and their influence to bring the less wise members of society into compliance with appropriate behavior. Society is not obligated to consent to a behavior just because an individual, or more then one individual or a group of individuals consent to something. Their actions do not mean that society must consent to what they do. It has never been that way and it should never be that way.
We need to bring this fight home where it belongs, putting the power to decide sexual matters into the hands of those in each state, who could do no worse then the federal government has done. It will put that power into the hands of our neighbors and friends – who better to decide about sexual activities?
Thus subjecting those who make these important (not important on a federal level) decisions about sexual activities, to the influence of the local community. Presently no local community has such influence over a federal court. The court apparently views itself as above its citizens in wisdom and ability. Such an attitude is incorrect at the least and arrogant at the worst.
This is not an attack on the federal government. It is a defense of the people against an attack by the federal government on the sensibilities of the majority of its citizens.
It is socially irresponsible for any society to allow its internet providers to continue to say they are acting responsibly in how they run their chat rooms when it is a sexual feeding frenzy in all of them – it is demoralizing to our youth and a great burden to those who try to live righteously. The temptations they face are a direct result of the government saying, falsely, the laws are correct and on the books to stop this, and also the internet providers who say, we are controlling what goes on inside their community chat rooms – when in fact they are not!
The bad sexual advice that young people are getting from one another and from older sexual predators is undermining an entire generation. The lowering of our moral standards is unprecedented in world history and will reap a terrible price among our people. It is shameful beyond belief and clearly shows a sleeping majority who falsely believe that they are morally safe in their homes when in fact an intruder is walking through the minds of our youth without being properly restrained or held accountable for the wretched behavior which it engenders. Our children are being seduced before our very eyes by wicked and sinful people who do not care for them or us or their precious souls, which are eternal.
Many of those in our society who say, “Do you want the government to tell you what to do in the privacy of your bedroom?” implying that it is a foolish thing to do, are the same people who use the courtrooms of America to protect their evil behavior and to extend it outside of the privacy of their bedrooms into the peace of our homes through television. Many of those in our society who say, “You cannot legislate morality” implying that it is a foolish and impossible task, are the same people who use the courtrooms of America to protect their evil behavior and to extend it outside of the privacy of their bedrooms into the peace of our homes through the public airwaves of television. If the law can be used to protect and thus indirectly promote evil – then it can also be used to deter and indirectly resist evil. Indeed, that is how the law has worked in this country for 200 plus years, and that is how it should continue to be used, as a deterrent, not as a promoter of evil.
Unity, fairness and diversity do not apply to moral standards. Applying these concepts to moral standards causes an upsurge in immorality throughout our community and social life. These forces will drive Godly and good influences underground and make wise council the enemy, when in fact evil forces are the enemy of prosperity; they are the enemy of sound doctrine, they are the enemy of stable minds, they are the enemy of a good, healthy society; they always have been and they always will be.
What good is political correctness if it engenders evil behavior? Political correctness means nothing without righteousness and it is in fact just another way of getting around righteousness.
Our fathers knew these things; our grandfathers knew these things; but for some reason, we don’t seem to. The influence of television is largely responsible for this sorry state of affairs. Many of the people who run the televised networks know exactly what they are doing in the area of morality; they are attempting to change evil behavior and make it seem good or somehow acceptable. They want us to feel sorry for immoral people who deliberately behave in an immoral fashion only because they want to, only because they find pleasure in wickedness and in other people who behave wickedly.
In addition, being a nation of laws does not assure the security and safety of our country. If the laws which we make do not support good and virtuous moral standards, they will accelerate the degradation and the swirling downward spiral of our social climate. Society will become more and more evil thus subjecting our entire country to the increased risk of destruction by God or man.
When a US Supreme court judge states "I suspect that over time [the U.S. Supreme Court] will rely increasingly ... on international and foreign courts in examining domestic issues" and another cites a decision by the European Court of Human Rights allowing homosexual conduct; All of the citizens in America should be alarmed that our supreme court is no longer representing us, indeed that our supreme court has an agenda which excludes and undervalues our commonly held moral values.
What makes a person think that because he or she sits on the supreme court of the United States of America, that their opinion regarding any sexual behavior is more or less correct then the opinions of the citizens of Texas? Is not the opinion of the citizens and representatives of the great state of Texas regarding sexual behavior, and their sense of decency, as great, if not greater, than a Supreme Court judge’s opinion? Who does a supreme court justice think that he or she is to tell our children that their immoral behavior (which millions of parents have been telling their children is in fact immoral and wrong) is not immoral, that it is ok.
It is not necessary for a person to be a Supreme Court judge in order to have a sense of decency and a sense of right and wrong about sexual matters. Immorality must never become the basis of morality. People who are immoral or people who feel sorry for those who are immoral must not be allowed to dictate the moral standards of a society.
When the US Supreme court decides to make even more egregious decisions regarding the moral standards of the states, including attempting to overturn many recent amendments to many state constitutions; this amendment as proposed will take on a greater, even essential significance. The amendment’s place in the American experience and pilgrimage will then become urgent and clear and its acceptance a high priority within the hearts of our people.
Everybody says, “God bless America!” Why? Why should God bless America? If America is not willing to bless God, why should God bless America? Why?
