Flooding in Guyana

Date: Feb 28, 2005 - 06:01 AM
My country of birth, Guyana in South America, has beenn inundated with rain and thunder storms for over 1 week. This has led to immense flooding in the capital, Georgetown, and all of the costal village. Most of the homes are flooded. As a result there is a shortage of clean drining water, food, shelter, and medical supplies. Several people have already drowned as a result and many more are getting ill with high fevers, vomiting and diarrhea. Please pray for them and you feel moved by God to do so please send a donation through Western Union to the Guyana Red Cross. Their account number is 653-346-7. To verify that this is a valid account please visit http://www.sdnp.org.gy/redcross/contact.htm

Thank You
