One of the headlining articles on CNN.com is "Law Center--Death sentence by jury that discussed Bible thrown out."
A divided Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the death penalty for a convicted felon could be thrown out because the jury discussed Bible verses in their deliberations. Even though it was noted that it is unreasonable to expect the jury to set aside morals, is it too much to ask the justices to set aside their personal agendas?
Focus on the Family had sharp criticism for the decision. The governor of Colorado declared it demeaning to people of faith!
What can we do? Pray, pray, pray and pray some more! Jesus asked His disciples, could you not watch one hour? Can we not watch for one hour? We can cry out to God for more mercy, and oh how we need His mercy, but we need to stand with the same power that raised Christ from the dead (Rom 8:11) against the principalities and powers of the air and take back our Cities, States and Nation!
Could you choose an hour a week? Only one hour per week! Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal your hour of prayer and make the commitment to God to pray for that hour until we see our Nation turning and then staying with God!
